Conversely, the majority of this song can be heard and the people who like it enough will find the video response with includes the second part, which is an integral part of the overall experience. I find it hard to believe that some people are so thick, they can't find it, but since that's reality, you gotta adjust for it...

personally, i find that the constant theme to any Tool song is hope. The hope of healing, growing, ascending to a higher state of mind and moving forward. and so, despite some disturbing lyrics in their songs, i feel that Tool is one of the most positive forces in music, if not THE most positive one. This song got me into drugs. I smoked my first joint with this song playing and was immediately obsessed with altered states of mind. I know it sounds lame and cliché, but it's true - this song opened my mind beyond comprehension. Once a misanthropic, self-loathing, hateful self-imposed loner, I became a sociable, loving and caring being. Things will still piss me off, and I'll not hold back in voicing my dislike for those things, but since then I've found beauty in life.

The music comes first, and the emotion comes from that music. Sounds, whether they are language or music (or even just bird calls) are just vibrations. Music can carry just as much meaning as spoken word in this regard, and what drives these lyrics more than anything is MJK's interpretation of the sounds the Adam, Justin, and Danny are able to produce. Think of the lyrics to a Tool song, even this song. Sure they are powerful, and sure they hold meaning, but it's extremely amplified w/ music.

buying a used copy of an album/box set thats been out of production for over a decade doesnt support the band. How does paying some asshole over 3 times retail support the band? ive bought all of their albums (some twice since ive actually played them out) and have bought a vinyl and have the box set (vhs) but I still download it since 90% of my listening to music is digital (computer ipod) and ripping the music just involves an extra step.
