i'm a 17 year old from colorado. i'm on an exchange program in poland right now. i considered myself to be very nationalist for a while and i thought everyone else should've thought the same about our great country. i came to poland and quickly learned first hand that people in many other countries hates us for being "too nationalist." i still think america's great, but the reason pride in america is almost dead, is because the thought that we're the best ,makes people hate us.
I wish I could say there would be real change in the United States. I remember growing up as a child and pretending to be in the army. Even at that early age 7-8 I understand the freedoms we had and was prepared to grow and eventually defend that freedom with my life.
Today I don't see our country ever going back to it's roots until we have another true great depression. Only until we are all starving will we snap out of this notion that the government owes us everything and we need not produce
