what's that debate about games being hard or easy? games need to be challenging but fair, they need to have a good gameplay and should be overall motivating

when I play games I do it to have an enjoyable time doesn't matter if the game is hard as long as it is good

demon souls for example, friggin hard game but when you die it's your own fault, it's always fair yet challenging not like IWBTG

also, what purpose would a game have if you couldn't beat it?

I hated Wind Waker because of its controls mostly. The camera controls were completely inverted for me which is usually fine in games because you can change it to your liking but... not in Wind Waker even though it's one of the BIG titles out there. That and the constant attitude the game had towards me that "You're a child and you're stupid"... which is ironic, seeing as I played the quite unforgiving game Link to the Past when I -was- a child, didn't know a word of English, and loved it.

Hate to burst your bubbles, I easily beat both zelda OOt and MM as a kid, they weren't hard, loads of fun and i love them both. Gamers of this generation could handle them just as well as gamers of the previous generation. Get over yourselves.

do you KNOW how hardcore some of the halo gamers are? i know a dude who plays online with only the sniper rilfe and NEVER uses the scope, hes the sort of crazy rabid gamer who beat "i wanna be the guy" on hard mode

yeah, just because we dont play retro game doesnt mean we are "casual gamers"

But noscoping doesn't compare to some of the major puzzles. And it's possible to beat IWBTG on ANY difficulty.

Also, in Ocarina of Time, Twilight Princess, and the upcoming Skyward Sword, Link is an adult (in OoT, it's after the third dungeon).

puzzles are diffrent, but what does IWBTG being possible have to do with LOZ? im pretty sure the puzzles in zelda are possible too.... im just saying, hes like 15 and he puts enough effort in to a game to beat IWBTG on hard mode then im pretty sure he can beat any puzzles you care to name. now im not nearly as hardcore as him, i have a job, i have things to do. but im sure i could manage LOZ

@iamnuff1992 the reson that a gamer who considers himself hardcore on halo cant beat a zelda game is cause of the complete difference in gameplay,

halo is a generic FPS whils LoZ is a adventure/puzzle game were you have to think and use correct items/weapons.

and link have been a child as well as an adult trough put the series and over half of OoT he is an adult.

and when it comes to the design (or ghrapics if you want) it changes from game to game, all depending on what the producers want

my point is that saying LOZ is too tough for this generation is silly... the halo and CoD players are the second hardest core gamers OF ALL TIME. (beaten only by the epic level WoW guys)

if anyone is willing to spend 10+ hours per day for 3 weeks to beat a game it would be them.

and Dude Majora's mask is FAR from being kiddie i dont know any kids that can beat that 1 - i was 10 when i beat Ocarina of time, but Majora's mask took me MUCH longer due to the fucking timer in it.

However if you do want badass get Majora's mask and unlock the Oni mask(?) that 1 is BADASS to the core.
