This was one of several demonstration vehicles and Toyota is letting the general public test drive them for the LA auto show. It isn't for sale yet and the price has still not been set for the plug in model but they are set to be released in 2012.
The range on battery only mode is about 13 miles but you still have the gas engine for longer drives or when you need to accelerate quickly.
