the trick to making the 777 do more than just acid is the use the toggle switches and do weird cross modulation stuff. it can get really weird. makes huge kick drums too. nice box and good all around bass machine
I've got a couple of mods on mine that make it extra special... but there's just nothing like that 3/7 pole filter and overdrive. Probably the only box on earth that truly holds it's own place in acid Kingmanship next to the 303 itself. Can keep my fingers off of it!
It was a toss up between a new Revolution and searching for a used 777. I chose the 777 and I agree. In sound clips, videos, and in design, the 777 beats the hell out of the Revolution.
Excellent video. It demonstrates a wide variety of sounds and doesn't focus too much on its 303 emulation. Very well done, indeed.
Yup. One of the handful that were produced. To be honest, the new one (Revolution) has not really impressed me, this thing can run it into the ground = )

I had one and a TB303.
Really nice machines but at the same time, one trick pony's.
Thats not bad but there's a lot of money in this kind of gear.
I sold em and got an elektron monomachine, which is also a killer synth in a whole other way.
Sometimes I miss the 777 but it cant do really much more than what you hear in this demo.
osc to filter modulation is also nice.
good demo ;-)
