Good think i got it removed, by now u prolly had it removed to. i had it for 3 days. i have a gaming pc and i have tried all kinds of shit, including random shut ofs and shit lol prolly didnt do anything but i was getting so pissed.

CCleaner is for cleaning up temp files and other junk...it's NOT a Malware Scanner.

You need to run Malwarebytes or something else to get rid of this stuff.

After you finish running Malwarebytes then you can follow up with CCleaner.

I'm not an expert but used to work in a PC repair shop so learned a few things.

i figuerd out a small trick that could help anyone whos internet wont open because of this virus. open your outlook express or another email program that ist a website, such as thunderbird, and find an email with a link to any website in it. click the link and it should open the page in your default browser. hope this helps. ps i have only done this on win xp but it should work with vista

Start Windows Defender and run a quick scan. then it will find it and remove it.

however! the virus will come back when you reboot and the internet will be crapt up until, you have removed it manually or ccleaner.

to stop the program from loading boot up in safe mode f8 at startup

run msconfig and deselect the startup files that look little funny avgaurd.exe files

this will stop the program from loading and then you can freely install av programs and malware programs and run a scan for the damn infection if it fails to clean tiem for a format >: (

This is a terrible tutorial, and ccleaner will not always work , depending on specific versions of ccleaner AND the 2009 antivirus , i recommend to dload combofix and smitfraud , and run those.

Then run a ccleaner, then shut down system restore, run defraggler (google it its free as well) reboot turn on system restore @ 1%
