It is sad how we argue amonst ourselves as black people, how seperated we are..we know the history of the light vs dark subject ( house N vs Field N) and in 2011 you would think that we would be smart enough to view this for what it is..a distraction to keep black people seperated and fighting so we don't have time to come together and work on collectively advancing our race. The lighskin vs darskin issue in the Black community has been going on as a result of slavery when the Lightskin Blacks got to work in the house and the darker skinned Blacks had to work in the feilds.

It is sad how we argue amonst ourselves as black people, how seperated we are..we know the history of the light vs dark subject ( house N vs Field N) and in 2011 you would think that we would be smart enough to view this for what it is..a distraction to keep black people seperated and fighting so we don't have time to come together and work on collectively advancing our race. I'm mixed black (Barbados / Trinidad Tobago) from my mom side and latin (Puerto Rican / Dominican) from my sperm donor side...people say my complexion is of caramel like a Tyra Banks, Halle Berry etc...I don't care what complexion a woman is, I LOVE women, and I'm color blind when it comes to women, I don't care if she's black (light / dark), white, latina etc. I like women PERIOD...this light skin vs. dark skin need to stop, can we all just get along lol.

I hate this :( there was this guy i liked, and he liked me, & the only reason he didnt want to be with me was because he only likes light skinned girls :( i felt horrible and tried to make myseelf look lighter by staying indoors and i used a foundation that was several shades lighter than my natural color and i would wear long sleeves and jeans so you couldnt tell :/ it was horrible.
