I don't know how long they've been together. The clip is from 2005 though, which means they pre-date your band if you've only been playing for 6 months. So you clearly lack originality.

Sounding better is a matter of opinion. I disagree that you sound better. Maybe it's the fault of your 'really bad equipment', but you know what they say about a bad workman...
