I know how easy it is to break in to these trucks (I have an 04) but I don't understand how the thieves just smash the ignition, because they are supposed to have the passive anti theft system (pats) that requires a specific key to match to a module under the dash. Also, they don't steal the pick ups to move people, I think they steal them to move drugs.

@k1ngD Our truck was just recovered locally. Stripped cosmetically, interior and wheels. Engine left untouched. So, it should be an easy fix. Adding security tho!

were you able to get any prints or anything off the truck or the various items left in the truck? man sorry that happened to you they trashed it real nasty...was that tobbacco in the passanger door cubby hole? and seriously a nissan emblem and a beanie that looks like a gimp mask were left in there...kinda makes you wonder what they were on
