I live in the U.S. and unfortunately the amount and diversity of archaeological remains under our feet is nothing compared to Europe, but you can still find some pretty cool stuff if you know where to look. I've found a beautiful stone spear point, some symmetrically carved polished stones, a stone fish hook, and an awl (rock with a point at one end for punching holes in leather). My dad was working with a paving company in the 70s and they found a full skeleton covered in beads and shells.
