truthslayer you might wanna be careful talking bad about wwe ppvs wwe removed my audio video on copyright though did have bragging rights image on it.
On a positive note, the "WE WANT BLOOD" and "CM PUNK" chants were pretty sweet. Minnesota was a great crowd. if the matches were better it would would've been a great show with a crowd like that
Nice review Tslay this show was really bad worst WWE PPV this year. Ziggler/Bryan was the only good match and was damn good. Everything else was bad to meh and WWE shouldn't be charging people $44.95 for PPVs if they put out crap like this. WWE hasn't really delivered on PPV all year long except for Wrestlemania and 1 or 2 others
@foxnetworkchannel2 *correction* excluding the Royal Rumble cause that's a battle royal match with 29 other participants, I'm talking bout a regular tag team/singles match. Hey you're that guy who was trolling on Isba's channel's using text-to-speech cause your actual voice sounds like Grover from Sesame Street("Hi my name's Isba", imagine how that sounds with Grover saying it). Funny stuff.
so all will be revealed at Survivor Series as to what Nexus has in store with regard larger purpose. How about Cena has been in charge all along and he instigated attack on Undertaker and that leads to Undertatker v Cena at Wrestlemania.
Otunga? Out of all the Nexus they choose him? A guy who can't go through a single match without botching his moves? The guy wrestles worse than the average WWE Diva, and that says a lot
Bryan v. Dolph match looked like it had a big inspiration from ROH and the Minneapolis crowd was really into it. Speaking of which, seemed like most of the people in attendance were teen-adult males, good crowd still(and I still think pro wrestling is for all ages so don't throw that stupid "PG sucks, wrestling isn't for kiddies" line at me). The rest of the matches weren't great but the booking/writing wasn't bad. I give this a C-.
This was a pretty fun show live. The crowd did not like all the run-ins throughout the night, especially the Nexus one in Buried Alive. And as much of a Nexus fan as I am, that one had me scratching my head because it made absolutely no sense. But the crowd was fun and seemed really active through most of the night (except matches like DiBiase/Goldust and Nattie/Layla) and I <3 the people who started the "Fire Cena!" chant.
fuck the bullshit ufc fad its fucking shit form of combat ufc is not good just cause its real even boxing is better than that mma bullshit ufc is a craze and it may still be around but it will lose its popurlity sooner or later and much sooner if wwe gets rid of pg and if tna fires hogan bischoff and russo and stop booking crap and give roh a real tv deal.
It was good till orton and barret came out and stunk it up like usual. The real ending for me was team smackdown winning. I'm not even watching raw tonite smackdown may still be the b show but it is 10 time's better
Hey TSlay, just going by your intro before I check out your thoughts, but did you by any chance watch Brock Lesnar get his ass handed to him on Saturday? None for nothing here, I'm just wondering if you watched the UFC at all because I think you're the only guy that I've seen on Youtube that watches WWE PPVs and Indy Wrestling events and yet still knows when those events are on the same weekend as a UFC event.
I liked the opener as well, and also the crowd. Minneapolis is a good wrestling town. Plus, they were missing the Vikings game by being at the show (not only can WWE not book, it also can't schedule, apparently.) So they seemed far less willing to put up with WWE's crap than a typical crowd. I'd like to see more of that from WWE crowds- or any sort of enthusiasm, really. WWE usually just wrestles slow matches to the sound of silence, which isn't appealing.
Honestly I think WWE should just have one ppv in October (really they should only have about 5 or 6 a year but that's not going to happen). Realistically, they can't expect people to buy two ppvs in a month with not only a big UFC show but also in the month of TNA's biggest ppv of the year. That would be like TNA putting on two mediocre ppvs in the month of Wrestlemania.
Honestly, I think it was a very good ppv true the main event sucked balls but Ziggler/ Bryan was in Top 10 Matches this year, I was glad to see Goldust/ Dibiase and enjoyed and the Nexus left me with hige intrigue and I found the elimination match very entertaining.
WWE seems content to play dumb and continue saying they play to a different audience than MMA, while their audience continues to move to UFC in droves.
The thing that is sad about WWE is that with decent booking they should be able to put on a great show every time! UFC can't guarantee that at all.
And why is it that even whenever Cena isn't champion, or booked to appear, the entire show still revolves around him? Cena as a tag team champion and angsty Cena causing a screwjob ending. yay
@HowTingz 2K8 tied with 2010 as WWE's worst year in PPVs, have you lost your mind? 2008 was World Wrestling Entertainment's most improved year. The only bad shows from that year was N of C and Judgment Day. Armageddon wasn't so great but matches like RMJ v. CM Punk and Triple H v. Jeff Hardy saved the show.
i would have preferd that it was otunga and slater to win the tag titles
then gabrial could win the title off bryan (would be awesome match) and barret could beat orton and do the evolution thing
total domination, wwe title, tag titles, US title + cena, would add that bit of power to nexus and would be good point to introduce some "higher power" kinda thing aswell
@thegoldenhero it can be for a little while, obv i dont want them holding them all for months but to have them hold all the belts for 1 month to push them all as dominant then to have the break up
lol at you not being able to think past the 1st situation
@BGDPPL If/when they book Bryan v. Justin, it should be a serious wrestling bout with no Nexxus interference and Bryan wins the first bout. The next bout, Nexxus tries to interfere but Justin tells them to go away(similar to Davey Richards and Shane Hagadorn at DBD8) and that he doesn't need their help. It'll get Justin over.
@steeltownbrown52 i would love that, but unfortunatly its wwe so being realistic i doubt they will have a nexus title match without some kind of interfearence
How I would have booked Nexus/Cena for the night...
>Still have the tag title match win.
>In the RAW vs SD match, Miz lays down, and walks out part way through.
>Main event, Cena turns heel... Daniel Bryan runs down, ALSO turns heel! Barrett throws away match with DQ... then Miz' music hit, he cashes in his MITB.
>Embraces Bryan, Cena, and rest of Nexus.
Might not make too much sense via written method, but hey!
Next Brock interview. The Undertaker used his powers to make me lose to that wetback. Brock: that why I hate illegal immigrants I always knew one could kick my ass
@Leaffaninalberta loaded! You must outside of lesnar, Ortiz, and possibly Sheilds most people hell probably half of the ufc's current fans wouldn't know half the people on the card
the undertaker hasn't won that many casket or hell in a cell matches losing record in both and about restraunt situation they have to the ppv for every tv in it so the numbers are slightly skewed even if people at the restraunt didn't watch still counts as a buy
@ThaTopDogg13 I was think the same thing with Gabriel since he (along with Barrett) are the 2 talented ones in the group and Slater improving in the ring. But at the same time, I can understand why they went Otunga. Otunga has been some what of a hot head lately.
The problem with the RAW vs Smackdown! match was the awful commentary. Why did they not argue with each other over RAW or Smackdown being the best? Y'know just like Paul Heyman and JR did at SvSeries 2001.
truthslayer do you think that since the undertaker lost and with his ufc 121 appearance and the staredown with brock he will come back as the biker undertaker and take on brock at Wrestlemania. since i cant see undertaker taking on anyone since i see cena and orton and plus brock said he wanted to take time off
Not true. Undertaker has won 2. He beat Mankind in the first one and then Undertaker and Big Show defeated Rock and Mankind on a Smackdown show in 1999 to win the Tag Team titles from them.
I too wanted Slater and Gabriel as a tag team. But i think Gabriel is too good of a wrestler to be in a tag team. I'd like to see him feud with Daniel Bryan for the US title.
Truthslayer it would not have mattered if WWE put on the best PPV in 10 years when UFC has Lesnar vs Valques, Sheilds vs Kampman, Ortiz Vs Hamill , and Gangzaga vs Schawb (sp?) there is NO WAY WWE could make people regret not buying their PPV.
@TSlay1974 the miz got buried not the undertaker the miz is supposed to be the future but he lost 3 ppvs in a row the miz putting over daniel bryan is fine but losing to guys who are already main event stars like rey mysterio and edge is fucking stupid.
@SithLordLegacy But you do understand why Team SD won Bragging Rights, don't you? As for the Miz I have a feeling they're going to turn him face within the year.
@TSlay1974 I agree. Why not reward the people that did order by putting on the best show possible and hoping that word of mouth would lead to an increased buyrate.
@TSlay1974 hey man just wanted to ask if u had same opinion as me. It just reli pissed me off how bis show and sheamus got counted ut but rey left the match for about 15 mins then came back and was allowed 2 continue. Just wanted ur opinion on it. thanks dude
@AmericanNohbuddy DEF some bad blood there IMO. No, Brock will not work wrestlemania. On forums for the past day it has been full of retards saying.. I hope Brock costs Taker DA BURIED ALIVE LOLZ... Taker is one of the most egotistical people in wrestling. Funny he would say that to Brock after he got his ass kicked and not before though. That is all it is though Brock is not working another match EVER. Have you heard Brock talk about wrestling? When he does he mentions how miserable he was.
Since when does the WWE ever said "lets put on the best match we can have"? Wrestling for the past 8 years have been a total decline. I hardly watch it anymore except for matches on youtube.
Early trending says UFC 121 may break 1.3 million buys. WWE will be lucky if Bragging Rights cracks 100,000 buys. I'd like to rate Bragging Rights but I kept falling asleep & missed half the show just like most of the crowd in attendance.
So as before another craptastic pay per view, so go out of your way go see ring of honor there pro wrestling is actually a sport its called wrestling, ROH forever but sadly i still have hope for TNA i will always have hope for TNA fuck the WWE, WWE Sucks balls but one thing i love about the WWE Daniel Bryan best wrestler in the world today thanks man for your video your loyal fan from the great white north Bruce Richard Adams
I hated the way most of the finishes of the matches were booked.. nexus running in on taker/kane made no sense, then having big show and shaemus being counted out, that was just weaksauce, and the crowd didnt' care about the rest of the guys left in the ring for the end of the 7v7. Cena FU'ing Barret just confused the crowd and was a weak finish, WWE has no balls when it comes to turning Cena heel.
One thing I did enjoy though, was Cena has been trying to be this "good guy" that is all for WWE and succeeding and trying to screw over Barrett while ensuring he wins, and what happens, Orton RKO's him. This could be interesting.
Bryan has had the best match of the night 3 PPV's in a row. and yet i still cant see this guy getting pushed... at least not on raw, i cant see WWE pushing him over sheamus, orton, cena, barrett, triple h (if he returns). but i think its obvious WWE is planning to push too many guys in the future that in my opinion cant put on great matches. (the guys i listed above) its unfortunate.. but i definitely have no desire to watch WWE after watching this ppv.
Another problem with this event that I didn't touch up on in my video is that what the fuck is WWE doing when they only have five matches set the day of? Its obvious just reading the results that they had to stretch for time & throw unannounced random matches on there, and it just makes these PPVs seem less worthy of the money.
@NYG4LIFE123 I agree at least TNA for the most part has their cards set before hand. I for one like 7 match PPVs when you have guys that when given the time can go out there and put on good stuff but the problem is to many of the guys in those spots right now CAN'T do that. TNA can however but they seem to think you need 9 matches to fill a PPV which is kind of sad given their talent
UFC PPVS do a lot more buys than WWE PPVS. So that really is not saying much. Thanks for stating the obvious. Resturants get the PPVS not to mention there are more MMA fans than wrestling fans anyways.
@angelofmercy1684 I said 10 times the number that means that if the UFC PPV did 800,000 to 900,000 buys then Bragging rights did 80,000-90,000 buys which is HORRIBLE for a WWE PPV so no i am not stating te obvious
@TSlay1974 Well, lasts years bragging rights drew a buy rate of 181,000. There is no way it went down that much. Even with the UFC PPV being last night. Resturants are crowded on PPV nights for UFC. So there goes a shit load of Buyrights right there.
@angelofmercy1684 You are aware Brock UFC PPVs do 800,000+ right? People were saying that this would be the lowest PPV with the exception of December to Dismember
@TSlay1974 They chose David Otunga instead of Gabriel strictly out of storyline purposes. Do you still watch raw btw? (Otunga and Cena has talked backstage and Cena has tried to "prove" to Barrett that Otunga is against him.) However I think the tag-team on raw will be Gabriel+Slater eventually, or maybe Sheffield+Gabriel, either way works.
@AmericanNohbuddy No, now you are putting words in my mouth. Fucking dumb is what you are saying. I am saying I do not think the buys for this will be as low as he thinks.
UFC did over a million buys

@Leaffaninalberta I hate to sound like the grammar police, but Schaub isn't the only name there you spelt wrong.

@Leaffaninalberta Not every WWE fan watches UFC, a large portion of WWE's fan base are children. P.S Who is Valques?

The opening match stole the show. Everything else was alright

Also Tslay did you hear the WWE has offered Lesnar a one time deal to Face Taker at WM27 for a big payday?

Any thoughts on Undertaker's stare at Lesnar?
AmericanNohbuddy 1 year ago
@AmericanNohbuddy DEF some bad blood there IMO. No, Brock will not work wrestlemania. On forums for the past day it has been full of retards saying.. I hope Brock costs Taker DA BURIED ALIVE LOLZ... Taker is one of the most egotistical people in wrestling. Funny he would say that to Brock after he got his ass kicked and not before though. That is all it is though Brock is not working another match EVER. Have you heard Brock talk about wrestling? When he does he mentions how miserable he was.
angelofmercy1684 1 year ago
@angelofmercy1684
I think it was funny how Lesnar lost to Cain and Taker lost to Kane.
AmericanNohbuddy 1 year ago
@AmericanNohbuddy HMMM You might be on to something here...

@AmericanNohbuddy u dum ass Taker and Kane match has a predetermined winner. lmao @ u

@AmericanNohbuddy He speaks of his time in wrestling very very gingerly.
angelofmercy1684 1 year ago
Since when does the WWE ever said "lets put on the best match we can have"? Wrestling for the past 8 years have been a total decline. I hardly watch it anymore except for matches on youtube.
Bloodsport1 1 year ago
@Bloodsport1
Well I'd think the HBK/Taker matches were them saying that
AmericanNohbuddy 1 year ago
@AmericanNohbuddy wow, a couple of matches out of 8 years. Got me beat bud. lol

Early trending says UFC 121 may break 1.3 million buys. WWE will be lucky if Bragging Rights cracks 100,000 buys. I'd like to rate Bragging Rights but I kept falling asleep & missed half the show just like most of the crowd in attendance.
chriswarden420 1 year ago 3
@chriswarden420 you need to share that info with others below
TSlay1974 1 year ago
@chriswarden420 Actually it looked like the Minneapolis crowd was pretty into the show for the most part.

The should call one of their ppv's "no headlocks"...i would buy it.

@adamfear17
It's not a sport
AmericanNohbuddy 1 year ago
I hated the way most of the finishes of the matches were booked.. nexus running in on taker/kane made no sense, then having big show and shaemus being counted out, that was just weaksauce, and the crowd didnt' care about the rest of the guys left in the ring for the end of the 7v7. Cena FU'ing Barret just confused the crowd and was a weak finish, WWE has no balls when it comes to turning Cena heel.
ruin3r 1 year ago
I was kind of hoping that heath slater and justin gabriel would challenage for the tag titles.
ADTgame82 1 year ago
One thing I did enjoy though, was Cena has been trying to be this "good guy" that is all for WWE and succeeding and trying to screw over Barrett while ensuring he wins, and what happens, Orton RKO's him. This could be interesting.

Another thing that took away from PPV buys here:
Brett Favre led Vikings Vs. Green Bay Packers in Lambeau Field. No way in fuck I was missing that. Awesome game & The Packers won!
NYG4LIFE123 1 year ago
Bryan has had the best match of the night 3 PPV's in a row. and yet i still cant see this guy getting pushed... at least not on raw, i cant see WWE pushing him over sheamus, orton, cena, barrett, triple h (if he returns). but i think its obvious WWE is planning to push too many guys in the future that in my opinion cant put on great matches. (the guys i listed above) its unfortunate.. but i definitely have no desire to watch WWE after watching this ppv.
why2beyou 1 year ago
Another problem with this event that I didn't touch up on in my video is that what the fuck is WWE doing when they only have five matches set the day of? Its obvious just reading the results that they had to stretch for time & throw unannounced random matches on there, and it just makes these PPVs seem less worthy of the money.
NYG4LIFE123 1 year ago
@NYG4LIFE123 I agree at least TNA for the most part has their cards set before hand. I for one like 7 match PPVs when you have guys that when given the time can go out there and put on good stuff but the problem is to many of the guys in those spots right now CAN'T do that. TNA can however but they seem to think you need 9 matches to fill a PPV which is kind of sad given their talent
TSlay1974 1 year ago
UFC PPVS do a lot more buys than WWE PPVS. So that really is not saying much. Thanks for stating the obvious. Resturants get the PPVS not to mention there are more MMA fans than wrestling fans anyways.
angelofmercy1684 1 year ago
@angelofmercy1684 I said 10 times the number that means that if the UFC PPV did 800,000 to 900,000 buys then Bragging rights did 80,000-90,000 buys which is HORRIBLE for a WWE PPV so no i am not stating te obvious
TSlay1974 1 year ago
@TSlay1974 Well, lasts years bragging rights drew a buy rate of 181,000. There is no way it went down that much. Even with the UFC PPV being last night. Resturants are crowded on PPV nights for UFC. So there goes a shit load of Buyrights right there.
angelofmercy1684 1 year ago
@angelofmercy1684 You are aware Brock UFC PPVs do 800,000+ right? People were saying that this would be the lowest PPV with the exception of December to Dismember
TSlay1974 1 year ago
@TSlay1974 Yes, I am aware of the buyrates for Brocks PPVs. Who are these "people" you are reffering too?
angelofmercy1684 1 year ago
@TSlay1974 Hahah way more buys than that for UFC PPVs dawg....
Carnius797 1 year ago
@Carnius797 um what?
TSlay1974 1 year ago 3
@TSlay1974 UFC PPVs with brock in the main event get way more than 800 grande, just saying.
Carnius797 1 year ago
@TSlay1974 They chose David Otunga instead of Gabriel strictly out of storyline purposes. Do you still watch raw btw? (Otunga and Cena has talked backstage and Cena has tried to "prove" to Barrett that Otunga is against him.) However I think the tag-team on raw will be Gabriel+Slater eventually, or maybe Sheffield+Gabriel, either way works.
Engelheart 1 year ago
@angelofmercy1684
Well Lesnar's last PPV buys were like a million buys anyway.
I don't know why you would bother to argue over this though.
AmericanNohbuddy 1 year ago
@AmericanNohbuddy I just don't see it being as low as he thinks. Last nights ufc atleast got a million. This probably did about 120,000
angelofmercy1684 1 year ago
@angelofmercy1684
that's still about 10 times lol.
AmericanNohbuddy 1 year ago
@AmericanNohbuddy Yea... about not ten times though.
angelofmercy1684 1 year ago
@angelofmercy1684 If Last nights fight did as much as 116 than yea... it could be twice... 116's buyrate was..1.16
angelofmercy1684 1 year ago
@angelofmercy1684
because if he was slightly off that means he was fucking dumb? It was basically an exaggeration anyway.
AmericanNohbuddy 1 year ago
@AmericanNohbuddy No, now you are putting words in my mouth. Fucking dumb is what you are saying. I am saying I do not think the buys for this will be as low as he thinks.
angelofmercy1684 1 year ago
Nice that the review is up :) watching it now. I agree so far that Bryan vs Ziggler is the highest rated match
