Every OS has something good about them. OSX is public convienence, which is good with blogging, pictures, and movies.

Windows is for programming, such as making flash games, or animated movies. Windows is also for gaming.

Macs are better, the reason they are expensive is they have better parts compared to pc's, now a days most notably the cpu clock speeds are higher than a stock pc of the same price and so on. more ram, 64 bit OS that is also ROCK SOLID compared to micro$hit winblows vista

Windows supports huge amounts of hardware. It therefore allows people to customize what they want.

Macs are nothing special, just a bright color and an air of pomp to make the buyers dick feel bigger.

Macs have 3rd party manufacturers: false. Nobody else can make them, thus proprietary.

From what Ive experienced all the Mac issues that arise are 99% software problems, whilst Windows was designed to fuck hardware up.

Yes Windows supports a large array of hardware, but you're stuck using that de-evolutionary OS thats entirely proprietary. Plus the majority of that hardware is 3rd world 3rd rated junk.

From my experience apples tends to be the best OEM, for their good resale value. With most OEM's you get terrible resale value, custom rigs as well.

You really think a average user knows anything about installing an OS on a windows box?

Apple remedies this issue with boot-camp, as most users are raped into using WIndows, by providing drivers, and easy installation.

resale is... in the eyes of the buyer. You may think a 5 year old mac is valueable to resale for use. To me its only value is in smelting the precious metals from its hardware.

Installing windows is fire and forget. not complicated. The average user also buys from manufacturer's, pre installed.

Ease doesn't make any computer better. It just enables victimization.

I can take this 2008 Mac Laptop that I am using, it cost $2,700 at the time, and sell it for around $1800 give or take. Whilst a $1000 custom build a year later...is pretty much worthless.

And you're wrong there, ease enables more people to understand something faster.

Majority of Cars from my experience require complete disassembly of the instrument panel, and dashboard to fix/change a heater core, while a simple access panel would add much ease.

well thats the problem. A lot of cars are so specialized on parts that needn't be. They have created an industry for people to learn and provide what should be unneeded help.

Mac is doing the same thing by making their machines unfixable without the exact parts. Laptops are sort of an exception because you cant open them up without a particle free room.

no device made by man is perfect. I can't think of the last time any pc part i've had failed that I didnt push to fail.

I burned an ATI x1950pro a couple years back. And my laptops power cable fried. The cable was wound up and badly cared for (by me). And the gpu... well sometimes pushing a devices limits is a quest in knowledge. Plus I didnt need it anymore.

I got a better replacement for 30 bucks at the local fry's.

I paid 3000 for a Windows machine laptop in 2002-03. It still runs fine. Moves faster than any mac i've ever used. and would imagine its resale value, to any idiot just needing a computer for basic functions and even some advanced, is higher than a macbook from that same year. Thus higher value.

better specs too. although the g4 was a 64bit cpu, it ran worse than the p4 HT cpu.

lol. the only people who get the leopard blue screen of death are the people who have to mod and customize every thing on their mac, then do an upgrade of an OS, which everyone knows a full install is better. I dont like leopard really, its too buggy. I perfer Tiger or Windows XP. Since Leopard is new, but still kinda has less bugs than the 2 year old Windows Vista. I know! I know! Its actually quite scary. If it ever happened to you, its a gray screen that scrolls down until it covers your screen. Then a black box appears in the middle and you have to restart. Happens on the Macs at school all the time, happened to me one at home!
