  • Just as expected ...the H.V Bakshi way !

  • I have a question! It takes 3 weeks to produce a plastic bottle of Methane..

How log does that methane last if you burn it? Is it only 2-3 minutes?

Could you convert this into electricity ?

  • superb man...

  • lol

  • this video is good but one thing is u have to focous what u telling becouse u tell about things but camera have to also zoomin its not focousing every thing u know what m sugesting u

sound editing also need in this video

  • nice job, and sweeeeet hair do man!

  • is the plastic jar open at the bottom?

  • hey hwaj99 i wanna ask u how can i make the generator safe when the presser inside the gas store raise?

in my village somes tried to make one but it's explode because of presser

and is there a germany safe method as somes says?

  • dude i want to make this fr a skul competition

  • What amount of biomass necessary for the production of biogas and how long it takes until the maturation of this biomass. Since already many thanks.

  • You have mentioned that if you add bacteria culture, the rate of reaction will increase. Could you give me the name of the bacteria you are referring to. Also, how much lime is required? If we add both lime and bacteria, how much does the initial time of 2 weeks to start making CH4 come down by

  • hi, very interesting. From what country are you? The only thing I do not real understand is the plastic yars. Can you explane again or contact me please.

I do demo and workshops about solarcooking, moringa and this is also a good subject for rural, poor people.

I am Dutch, but live in the Philippines

  • what kind of bacteria is used will increase the gas amount?

  • good job man!

  • hy man nice works!!!

    m realy impresed with it

i ll try to go through it

    bt i need ur help

    this is my email addres

    saqib.ali70@yahoo.com

plz help me out in it

    thnxx

  • Please show in close up. Also, please tell us if it will work with food food waste..

  • simple and cute... keep it up, dude

  • hey its nice !! .. :)

  • Thanks for sharing this. Question: CH4 is a flammable gas... are there any safety precautions which I should consider before making a biogas generator?

  • @therealperth the output tube should have a nozzle attached to prevent backfires. you can curl a piece off a tin can and insert it in the tube to regulate the pressure and to prevent backfires. Also, while the gennie is generating, do not allow sparks or open flames nearby. You can make a CH4 detector using a few sensors, relays and a buzzer (haven't worked with these sensors before tho)

  • Hey ! thanks for the advice but i find it tough to understand. Could you explain further ?

How can a regular tin can nozzle be reused ?

  • interesting.....

  • Hi...very interesting experiment that i would like to undertake myself. can you please guide me with the apparatus, equipments, etc.

  • The apparatus is simple

1 19 liter bottle easily available

2 Any type of Plastic piping. I used leveling pipe easily available at the hardware store.

3 defusing connectors also easily available

4 silica jell as a sealant. It wasnt a very good sealant. so you may try another one

5 small burner along with a valve

6 2 plastic jar one for the gas and other for the water to pressurize the gas.

    7. u may also use lime in the manure to increase the rate of reaction.

  • @hwaj99 please explain step 6 in more detail. does the plastic jar inside have an open end on the bottom?

anyone who knows can answer please.

are you saying as the gas fills the plastic it raises up and the water holds it down? thanks in advance

  • @ncbookz

    it is a simple method.

U may have done it in your high school to collect the gas over water in chemistry lab.you can google it

  • Thanks for the response. Few more questions:

    1) How much time does it take for gas to produce?

    2) How often do u need to change the manure?

    3) I was thinking of using vegetable and fruit waste produced in the house -- Any views on the same?

  • @anantdamani

1-In my case it took 2 weeks before start producing CH4. but if u add bacteria culture and lime the rate of reaction will increase a lot.

2 it was an experimental model. for domestic energy purposes u need a lot bigger plant then this and you need to change the manure daily.

3- you can use any organic waste. it will produce less quantity of CH4.

FYI 1 kg Cow dung has capacity of producing 0.5 kg of CH4 (ideal case 100% efficient plant.

  • @hwaj99 thanks for the informative video. you mentioned bacteria culture. what type of bacterial culture should we use?

  • @hwaj99 . pls have a video of how to make the step 6

  • interesting idea to use the water pressure to get a constant gas flow, i will have to look into that

  • shiet

  • Verry good!
