I know this post is old, but TheGranule... stupidest thing I ever heard, national debt has only been paid of once... back in 1835 under President Andrew Jackson. The national debt was just under 6 trillion dollars the entire time Clinton was in office.

Rang, do you have the memory of a mayfly, like most Republican/monarchists? Clinton left office and the USA had a balanced budget and even a surplus. Bush, who as a privileged, stupid heir, blew through that and by the end of 8 years left the USA trillions of $ in debt, the world teetering on Economic Depression, & the USA despised as a nation that had a national policy of both torture, and disregarding the Geneva Conventions (that wiser & more able Presidents had actually helped to draft).

I love it that the Republicans are upset that the unemployment figures are the SAME as they were in the 3rd year of Reagan's first term. I love it that the Republicans think of Reagan is a g-d, he was a third rate actor who had Alzheimers in his second term, and probably often thought he was in a movie.
