  • bro u gotta tell me how to bend this. like make a diagram. because this machine is hard as fuck to bend. All i was able to find were a few glitches that would make it play a random sound for a second, but nothing like this, i really want distortion.

  • How did you this bent? I have a sa-20 and i want to do the same bent, it sounds great!!!

  • I'm so glad I didn't start soldering yet!

  • hello. made my first bent yesterday with a friend on a casio sa-20. we found a bit and made 2 body contacts and two switches with a potentiometer... strange thing is that after we closed it, there were problems in the volume controll, some sounds weren´t any more under the right number, stop button works not everytime,...

    is this normal, or repairable?

  • @taxwram Sorry but it was such a long time ago that we built this one and we have not worked on the SA-20 since.

  • fabulous sound

  • Hi, I'm bending one right now. I've switched in an optional 6Mhz crystal for some cool lows. Have you also?

  • No we did not use a creytal to get the lows, we just jumped a few connection to get these results.

  • Hey, this thing just died on me! I probably have a hundred hours of labor on it. Any ideas what went out?

  • Sorry but we just do not know what to look for when things go wrong, we just tend to move on to the next machine here.

  • Hi, i have one of these antiques too!

Anyone that knows how to connect it to a computer?

  • Not sure what you mean, are you aiming to get audio in to the computer or sequence the machine from the computer?

  • i want to be able to play on the casio , but it has to be connected to my computer cause i want to record it.

  • If it does not have a jack socket then you will have to open the unit and connect a socket to the + and - trminals of the internal speaker. Arron

  • It has an jack socket. To what socket do i need to connect it to on my comp?

  • Try the audio input, that should do the trick!

  • i had no idea a casio could sound like anything other than shit.... i stand amazed!!! maybe my opinion is just based on the fact that MY casio sounds like shit...

  • You should take a look at our CASIO VL-1 with 10 mods, you may want to sit down first.

  • haha that's pretty cool. I have the same keyboard, I just run a cord from the output to my PODXT to get distortion and effects, its neat.

  • Have you seen what we have done to the little Casio VL-1, search our vids for a mind blowing experience.

  • BRISKET.. ah .. sure ANYbody can do DAT!! This guy actually went in an tweaked tha Holy HELL outa this thing.. TOtally different.. and I 'll bet ANYthing you DON'T get the sounds HE gets...LOL....

Kinda wonder if he had listened to lil'

    Trent Reznor for inspiration.

  • do you have a photo of the board. i would love to do this mod but i cant find any thing to help me out.

  • This was over a year ago and we did not keep any records of what was done, just get inside and search, that's what we do.

  • could someone tell me pls whats amazing about this? are there realy people enjoying sounds like this? oO

  • If you send me some of the music that you write or listen to then I could give you a valid answer. Arron

  • That is a sick bend, I too am about to get ahold of one. I would love to know the bend you used.

  • We just opened it up ad found what we could, no plans or drawings.
