B) The only time a company is funded by the government is; as you said to cure a disease, or make something for the military and/or law enforcement. C) Samsung is South Korean so even if a government was to get involved which is very rare, it would be the South Korean government not the American.

Personally, I think this will be one of the prime markets for the touch-friendly Windows 8.

Creating OLED screens of any size is today economically feasible, and as the OLED gets a bigger marketshare, the prices will drop well below that of an LCD. Also, possible applications for OLEDs are way beyond that of any competing visual media of today.

By the way, self driving cars would be a disaster! Ping time and lag, which could be fatal because car X's last known position isn't exactly where it actually is. Also, software bugs. One small bug, and it's literally fatal. Humans can make mistakes, especially programming ones, and I wouldn't trust the car!

@roejames12 Nissan developed something very close to a self driving car. in the sense that it brakes if something is closing in from the front, can keep the exact same speed as the car in front of you, keeping the safety distance, and also makes sure it stays on the road and does not slip into a ditch or anything similar. Latency is next to nonexistent in high-grade gps-systems today, and the car would probably be a hell of a lot safer than 90% of drivers today, with all our fancy distractions.

It seems impossible light is too fast. If you think about it. This screen right here is like any type of LCD or even this LED without the back white part that carries the brightness.
