I love how these short, stocky horses just sail over jumps. It's beautiful and a bit unexpected!

No, the saddle looks like a longer flapped close contact saddle. Jumping in a dressage saddle won't hurt the horse's back, but it will hinder your position and will make it harder for you to get into a two point. Same as jumping in a western saddle. Cute horses. :)

i love fjords i have ridden one a few times. i rode one named teddy, and today i rode one named twinkie. it was my first time riding twinkie. i LOVE fjords, especially their manes.

ponyflyer321 is right, every fjord is different. teddy and twinkie are nothing like each other. teddy is slow lazy and likes to stop at jumps and twinkie is fast and perky and has a really BIG jump!

I love Fjords! Their soooo cute! I own a TH/cross mare, and she's sweet! There is a Fjord pony at the stable I board at though called Teddy. He's one of those school horses and is very patient!

dressagefanatic, you can show fjords in any horse show that you want(unless it is another breed specific show, such as arabs only). I have a fjord and ive been showing her for 3 or 4 years in the local shows. they are amazing horses, i would deffinately suggest getting one :)

pleatec13 is saying that they thought they are called ponies not horses. while fjords are technically ponies, they are usually called horses. plus, any pony is a horse but no true horse can be a pony

uhhh no. the breed is a norwegian fjord horse. cause of their strength and useability. but they are pony sized. and no, a horse can;t be a pony but neither can a pony be a horse. it's all about size baby! and they are all equus caballus, only reason e call them horse/pony os for competition
