  • I am so glad that ryba was finally confused.

  • how long did they play? where all 4 CPUs used? why did you not take rybka 4.1? its stronger i think, when i let them play, rybka does allways win ;)

    thx for answering

  • The idea of Rybka giving up is unimaginable for a normal person.

  • Well I will rather compare the fight with Dragon Ball Z.

    Where goku fights the Frieza

    Frieza = Rybka

    Goku = Houdini

  • This is like watching that fight from Terminator 2 where the T-800 tries to slam the T-1000 into the factory wall and the T-1000 just turns into liquid and flips it's body without turning around and then just destroys the T-800 in hand-to-hand combat, leaving it on the ground as a pile of dead metal.

  • To be completely fair though, if ANY ONE can properly analyze just "what" these engines ARE "thinking", it's ALWAYS going to be KC!!!

  • How can we humans annotate ANY present day engine(s) such as these anymore?! It's laughable really. Some of these moves are being made where players like Kasparov, Carlsen, Anand, and Nakamura, sitting all together, would have a hard time figuring it out! LOL Engines have "taken over" our wonderfully magical HUMAN game of over a thousand years!

  • Thanks for posting!

  • at11:00 black DOES NOT regain the pawn, as there is a rook on the e1 square

  • Kingscrusher, if you turn off your Antivirus software. You can get much better performance with a chess engine! Just be sure to switch it back on when you visit the web. Thanks for uploading theses videos. As for the commentary; 1st rate as always!!

  • at 11:04 how is the knight taking losing a piece? its defended by bishop, queen and rook

  • @hvitekristesdod @ivBeats I initially thought so as well, so I took my board out. :) KC saw at the evaluation that it loses a piece, but did not play it out.

    If 49. Nxe5 then 49. ...dxe4 50. Nxe4 Nxe4 51. Bxe4 Bxe4 52. Qxe4 Qxe4 53. Rxe4 Ng5! and suppose white casually retreats the rook then 54. Re1 Rxe5 and blacks rook is immune due to 55. Rxe5 Nf3 56. Kg2 Nxe5. White can only avoid this continuation by not going into the exchanges, e.g. with 50. Bc2. Material is then equal but adv. for black

  • Great analysis, thanks.

  • KC , its the wrong PGN in the description . Its interesting to think that after g3 houdini knew that rybka was beaten in every variation.

  • @TheOneBlackSheep1973 wish i read comments before i opened my mouth

  • @TheOneBlackSheep1973 Sorry no i corrected it now - thanks for pointing it out.

  • Re: 14:59, Rybka played Bf5 because it was looking at Nxc4, attacking the queen, but also backed up with the rook attack on the bishop. So, unless Rybka wanted to sack the bishop for the attacking move Qg4, the response from Rybka would be forced as Qe3, and that doesn't have as much dynamic possibilities. At least, that is what I thought looking at the position. What do you think KC?

  • The list of moves in the description is for a KID rather than a Ruy Lopez.

  • @MrZingnigga Yeah wrong pgn it looks.

  • The scary thing thus far has been seeing Houdini crush with Black. Imagine what kind of carnage it could manufacture playing as White! Thanks KC for these great games.

  • in 21:32 black queen c6 does not unpin the situation because of rxe4, qxe4 and nxd2.

    white is knight up.

tell me if i messed it up

  • Its funny how even computers follow Nimzos positional ideas..I was reading "My System" and there is a part that talks about getting a knight to an advance outpost and the if the opponent moves the adjacent pawn to cover the outpost it would weaken the structure, g3 being the weakening move...the video came out at the perfect time for me.

  • Yes! I think King Crusher granted my wish! I asked him on 2000'th thought video..that please make a video of computers ..I want to how know how Computers think!

I think KC accepted my request! :D

  • Your really using the words Magic, and Magical alot in these videos.

Houdini said he would never die. Seems he's somewhere riding the cosmos, playing chess nowadays =)

So thats 3 wins in a row for houdini WITH the black pieces mind you.

I'm ready to say Houdini > Rybka.

  • i saw this book. No idea if it is good or bad or psychotic.

  • such a brave break through to allow parking a bishop next to the white king!

but although white looks a bit passive and like playing for a draw Nxc3 was enough to lose the game, wow. great coverage

  • checking rybka with rybka!! nice:)

  • @kristof80able LMAO!!! Funny, right?!

  • all i can say is: they gave the right name for this engine!!

  • Thanks for doing this KC...maybe in the future when I have money Ill open up a chess school and you will provide instruction.

  • oh my god o.o

computers are going to surprise me each day more, think this is not good at all ..

  • Playing an engine is depressing, but watching two engines playing is amazing!

  • @Solonil Playing an engine is great practice, you have to play it knowing you won't win.

  • @xxxIronLeexxx Yeah, I guess this is the correct approach.

  • These quiet moves Houdini does reminds me of those Kasparov does after sacrificing material. 4 pawns down in previous game is just against all my experience.

  • Great to watch - the future of Chess

  • Keep'em coming. Amazing games

  • These games are great! keep them coming!

  • Bang. What was that? Bang!

  • @Bolzhoden Hey? Black's Just blunedered a pawn!! What? Shock!

  • Those games are nice!
