If you look at the beginning you will see that the bottom gets covered in black, then blue then white on top. A clean magazine paper will live the wet paint and with a LOT of practice you can lift it looking like that :)

@thedarkavatar666 Thank you for explaining it! x) I still find this extremely difficult to do even with practice- at least for me, lol. I mean he passes a magazine paper on the painting and it magically turns into very well-painted rocks with shades and lights and everything and wow it took less than 3 seconds! it's just amazing!

Out of curiosity, do spray paints work on regular paper? :S

I usually watercolour or sketch people but I've never really been able to do backgrounds or scenery and this is simply mind-blowing. I want to try merging these two ways of drawing, problem is, will it work? XD

@Xvirel No you need gloss paper because regular paper will absorb the paint.

@Xvirel Personally I prefer poster board, it works pefectly fine, but some people use canvas, theres multiply ways to add a sketching aspect into it most people use a scraper looking tool to do it, this dude used a sponge brush for the tree which is something I havn't seen before.

But I'll tell you what people will literally throw money at you to buy these things thats for dam sure

you should wear surgical gloves and a respirator when you use spray paint. You can absorb the chemicals through your skin, eyes, and lungs. That shit is highly toxic. People who sniff paint have extreme side effects. Not that you are sniffing it, but any amount isn't good for you.

1.) Make sure the angle of ur paper is like this

2.) pinch the paper where u want the cliffs so it doesnt stick too much

anytime, im just starting out, was using newspaper, computer paper and stuff till i read in the comments of one of his vids that he uses the glossy paper, so i tried photopaper and hell it works well

you can find it almost anywhere. i usually just get mine from walmart or walgreens. its just a big piece of white thick paper with one side glossed. they are very cheap and can come in a variety of colors.
