  • These are so sweet... I love projects that are recycling.

  • These are beautiful and they look like so much fun to make. Now I have to but a case of Cafe Vienna!

  • very good idea so far as "reduce, reuse, recycle" goes!

have a question though. what adhesive did you use on the paper when putting it on the can itself? i'm not a pro when it comes to adhesives, and it seems i use stuff that's just over-the-top-liquidy and ends up wrinkling the paper, or i use something not tacky enough. i just suck so yeah lol

    :)

  • @ibkristykat ....thanks for stopping by.... I use Scor-Tape if you go to the website that sells the Scor-Pal you will find it there. It is like the red sticky tape however where that red part of that tape sticks to your had and needs scissors to cut, this Scor-Tape can be torn with your fingers and has paper that covers the adhesive...way easier to use. I think it is cheaper too in the long run!

  • I've heard the StampTV lady talk about ScorTape. Wasn't sure if there was something else I could use. Guess I'll have to get some! :) Thanks!

  • This ia such a great idea! I have a bunch of these tins b/c I drink a cup almost every night. I am definitely going to make a tret box for my nephews for Valentines and maybe one for my craft room to hold my charms or something! TFS!

  • So Cute!!! All are very nice and great idea!! Thanks for sharing.

  • Gina these are such wonderful altered tins. I love them. It would be wonderful if we went all out on Valentines Day over here in Australia but usually it is only for the young lol but I must say those tins are gorgeous.

    Hugs

  • Adorable. I noticed that you had brads holding on a ribbon pull on the top. It looked as if the brads went all the way through the red lid. Do you have problems with ripping? (I also noticed the charms hanging from the side of the lid.) My husband just shakes his head now whenever I rescue from the garbage what I see as a treasure. I love decorating containers. Yours are really sweet.

  • @DeraLynnD Hi, thanks for the comment. Actually the one with the ribbon pull is just bling glued utop the ribbon once it was glued into place and the one where the charm is, I used a paper piercer to poke the hole and it went through just fine with no splitting. The lid is a soft plastic so cracking and tearing are less likely to occur.
