this guy is playing on normal mode when the anniversary edition came a few years back....they had two different difficulties....normal and hard....that is why he is dealing so much damage to the bosses.

you are confusing "speed run" with "no hits run". he gets hit now and then intentionally because the temporary invulnerability allows him to advance quicker.
