Yes this was a terrible story (Steven's older brother Cary would be the yellow stone mountain killer as well), this reminds me of Sean Hornbeck and the little boy Ben Ownby). Wow. May the whole Stayner family have God watching over them.

I never believe that Steven's motorcycle accident was really as accident. I believe it was murder & law enforcement should have been investigating it as a possible murder. I believe Kenneth Parnell killed him or got someone else to do it for which makes him just as guilty

this movie touch me in so many ways . it makes me mad that parents out there have to wake up and keep our lovely kids safe from anyone that is going to hurt them . Steven and Tim you guys give inspiration to be a better mother keep and to keep those molesters and any kind of stranger way from my little angles . Rest In Peace guys. now for all you parents out there wake up and smell the coffee and take care of your precious angles like they are suppose to be, please !!!

OMG What a story and a life half lived, how this could happen is beyond me but I know that this is an event that can happen again and again, look at the young girl keeped in the basement.. god help them and watch over the children of the world because it is only adults that can be this cruel.

what a nightmare for the Stayner family parents. One son kidnapped for 7 years missing his entire childhood and would later go on to be killed in an accident at 24 years old, then Cary Stayner who would go on to become a serial killer.

this story gets worse,in 1999 stevens younger brother carey,raped killed a woman her daughter and a friend of thiers in yosemitie national park,i remember seeing this on the news and thinking how could 2 such horrible trdgedies happen to 1 family.
