Ed Reed is the best safety in the league. Bob Sanders is good dont get me wrong he's practically the colts run D, But he dont stand out on a great D like Ed Reed the Ravens D is in the top 3 every year the colts D sucks.

Everybody jealous that the Colts are the real deal. I went to their last regular season game of this year and witness that in person, but I have always known. You talk about an explosive defense and the Indianapolis Colts are what you come up with. I was the only Colts fan in my high school and nobody liked me when they won the Super Bowl. :o) I felt like a king because I had dibs on talking trash the entire day.

AMEN! Like I said, in the defensive system all he has to do is run full speed ahead and pick up any tackle he can get. It explains how he always get a less than impressive amount of tackles every season, and rarely gets any picks or breaks up a pass.
Bob Sanders only looks impressive because of the system. If you dont believe me explain how a sixth round pick went to the Colts and has almost identical numbers as Sanders. the LBs and Corners do all the coverage while he and Bethea run will speed towards the line of scrimage and pick up gang tackles or tackle a dude who someone on that soft ass defense didn't manage to wrap up. Dude is overrated to the max.

Everybody jealous that the Colts are the real deal. I went to their last regular season game of this year and witness that in person, but I have always known. You talk about an explosive defense and the Indianapolis Colts are what you come up with. I was the only Colts fan in my high school and nobody liked me when they won the Super Bowl. :o) I felt like a king because I had dibs on talking trash the entire day.

Also I'm suprised about all the haters! Bob is injury prone but there is no question that he is a top 20 defensive player in the league. Some say he is just an undersized linebacker but watch some of the highlights or old games because he has already proven to be great in pass defense too. There was a reason he was Defensive Player of The Year in 2007.

AMEN! Like I said, in the defensive system all he has to do is run full speed ahead and pick up any tackle he can get. It explains how he always get a less than impressive amount of tackles every season, and rarely gets any picks or breaks up a pass.
Reed is the best safety in the league.

Bob Sanders only looks impressive because of the system. If you dont believe me explain how a sixth round pick went to the Colts and has almost identical numbers as Sanders. the LBs and Corners do all the coverage while he and Bethea run will speed towards the line of scrimage and pick up gang tackles or tackle a dude who someone on that soft ass defense didn't manage to wrap up. Dude is overrated to the max.

maybe but would u see these averag safties pileing up 132 tackles in a season? sanders flys around the feild and has great instincts and is one of the best tacklers in the nfl, which is why he is so good most safties dont have that. and thats why other teams dont copy hes style of play sanders got defensive player because he is so important to his team and because no matter what the other team did he was always making plays

How is he not a complete safety? Please just explain that. He can stop the run, and he can cover. That is what a GOOD safety does. As well, the 5'8 shit is trash, you know how much weight he is giving up when he goes to hit some guys? Look at Greg Jones for example.

first of all its not like madden it doesnt completly depend on stats wither or not you should get defensive player, stats are a big part, but also a big part of it is how important you are to your team. cause he doesnt get many ints he cant cover? what about namadi asumaguia or however you spell his name he doesnt get as many ints as some CBs but thats because he has such good coverage qbs dont throw to his wr, same type of thing for bob, wrs dont want to run near him

Bob never got 132 tackles in one season though, unless you are going to try to count the playoffs and no one really counts that. Bob is like a B+ safety, but ED Reed, Adrian Wilson, Troy Polamalu, and Brian Dawkins are better than him. Bob Sanders is not a complete safety because his covering skills are crap.

The one of the best tackeling safeties in the NFL? This dude is seriously overrated. The most tackles he has had in the season is 90. I can name a few safeties in the NFL who have got close to that number in tackles (one of them being Dawan Landry).
If you really believe that he is one of the best tackeling safeties, then look at the career stats for Rodney Harrison or John Lynch, then tell me what you think. :)
