This guys a fucking fagot when he points out all the little inconveniot things like the seat, ITS A FUCKING BIKE, shits not going to be simple when you own one you fucktard
the guy is a retard i own the 2007 model which isn't too different. put key in and the seat pops out. The bike untaps the full 105hp at 10rpm + but i find it very sedate and lovely to cruise around on below 6. I must admit the fuel injection makes it a bit jerky and the powerband is pretty hardcore. Mines has a damper so no problems there.. all in all a good review though.
I just bought a 2011 cbr600rr and I'm loving it this bike is badass sure its not that comfortable but every time I ride I find myself saying oh hell yeah
you Brits are pansy socialists now that is the easiest bike on the road to ride with the exception of handlebars that kill you after 30 min of riding. Drive a BMW instead? come on this is product placement bs.
Well sir that was a good all round review, been looking into getting a CBR600RR, Kawasaki ZX6R or a Daytona 675 and this is about the best review ive found for any of these bikes! Shame you couldn't keep up the review work but a great video all the same!
Finally.. an awesome review. I have been looking for a new sport bike but something for daily driving around town n up through the mountain a little bit.. Low end power will be a must.. So I wont be going with this bike.. Thanks for the awesome review. :)
iv had a lot of bikes over the yrs 2 cbr 600 f 2 zx7r a zx9 e1 model ect ect but i have a same model cbr 600rr same colors as this one so far iv fitted a set of gillies rearsets in black some renthal grips titax levers carbon heatshield carbon sprocket cover and a fabri black screen i have a yoshi rs5 carbon can n link pipe to be fitted and of course a set of 2ct tyres kinda thinkin should i do much more u kinda get into the idea of a slipper clutch then this then that
Sorry Nick but you suffer from the same problem as Martin Brundle, you are very boring to listen too. You dont have an exciting or cheeky way about you, its just all very bland which is a shame as the information is good.
Im curious how you can review a bike, criticise the steering, complain about the gearchange at lower speeds, moan that its gutless, dislike the seat, the tool kit access and the storage hatch, THEN say it sets new standards in the class, Is this a wind up?
I won't call it a roadtest nor a review but it's your observation as an owner (which may be a very personal thing). I must say it was nicely done and informative. I just sold my ZX-6R for a 2005 CBR600RR with Yoshimura full system, tricked out Ohlins suspension, teering damper and a PCIII installed. It's making 115Bhp at the wheel. Happy with my purchase. Your woes in riding in city traffic can be solved with a higher rear sprocket ratio (maybe a 43 instead of 41).

I know for shure that most CBR in the aftermarket are from people who realised that despite the great looks it has, it is rather uncomfortable or does not meet their needs / expectances of use of a bike.

Even though I'm 15, it'll still be definitely going to be my first bike when I get my bike test, just gutted I'll have a two year restriction to start with. Quiet amazing bike, just everything to do with it is smart. Although, I would rather have one with theRepsol design to complete the super bike look. Even though CBR's are considered my favourite road bike, the CBR1000's look isn't very appealing in my opinion, too... plain?
thanks 4 making a proper review, all these others that go on about what they r like on track days, i spent ages trying 2 find the truth about what its like on the road
I agree with the comment below me...although im not sure i'de be so harsh lol. This is actually a pretty "Bitchy" review. When you buy ANY sportbike it is going to be tuned for "Sport" hence the sportbike title. If you want a smooth ride everywhere then don't buy a sportbike... buy a cruiser. this video will wrongly effect the decisions of many potential sportbike buyers. Don't review a sportbike if your too pussy to handle what it was Professionally designed to do.

very good review. i just traded a kawasaki zzr600 for one of these. i have not been riding much lately sometimes the leaning makes me nervous, but i enjoy this bike very much. and again, nice review.
Nice review. Have you installed a steering damper since then? I think the 4 best things you can do to the 600rr would be to add a good damper, adjust the suspension for your weight/comfort, better set of tires, and a different exhaust (the first 3 being, by far, the most important).
I agree with the 600RRs being annoying for local street use. I'm looking at a 2006 or newer GSX-R750 now to get better torch out of my daily use while having better handling than the 1000s. Anyway, great review!
nice video! i have a 06 600rr and your right it is a bit difficult on rough roads you do allways have to be on the gas. i still love the bike and use it as a everyday dirver when there isnt a foot of snow on the ground like there is atm ): good review!
@Phoenixsuns21 fuck you, he helps, and gives useful advice and all you can do is shit all over it, your probably 14 and never riden a bike in your life, if you cant say something nice, best dont say nothing at all.

hey thanks for a great video, not only did you describe the bike in all its performance glory, but as an everyday city rider bike. Im about to pick up my CBR soon!
And Phoenixsuns is a douche bag. Not all us americans are cock gobblers like him!
this guy is a fucking tool! bitchin bout riding it slowly and having to stop at every petrol station! blah blah blah i don't give a fuck you dumb brit! Bring that shit over to america and we will show you how to ride! bitch!
Man you're mean! With an attitude like that you should have had a job setting foreign policy for the Bush administration. Still we both live in free countries and you're entitled to your opinion, if you don't like my review why don't you film your own. Having personal insults hurled at you is a fun way of spending an evening I can vouch for that.
Try and keep it clean matey and good riding to you.
@DrivenandRidden Lmao, why are Brits so good at comebacks? I <3 you guys. Keep your head up and ignore this fool. Aren't riders supposed to stick together?
@DrivenandRidden You are right, don't listen to him, he's just an A hole , i personally think u ride really well, and your review is very helpfull to me!
@DrivenandRidden Well said D&R... It's actually refreshing to have a review that states the negatives, and not simply blow wind up the manufacturers skirts in an appeasing nature.
It is upsetting to watch a great bike review like this and then someone coming up with an offensive comment like Phoenixsuns21's. Great reply by DrivenandRidden and quite polite.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
how old are u son the whole of 18 yrs old! what would you know about riding? britain produces some of the finest riders in the world and compared to america there is no real competition, if you dont believe that check out the 'tt races'
You're an idiot.....are you all of 19? Nicky Hayden, Ben Spies, Colin Edwards, Kenny Roberts (Sr,Jr), Wayne Rainey, Freddy Spencer, Eddie Lawson......I could go on all day. UK has Fogarty? Maybe Toseland?
You limey morons think motorcycles are YOUR thing. Sorry, but the talent is USA all the way. Your weather sucks, women are ugly and none of you can ride for sh*t!!
Wow phoenix, I doubt you even ride at all let alone have even touched a bike. Both places have great riders you damned moron. Plus, I'm gonna bet he'd out-ride you anyday. The only tool here is you for trying to act like a hardass online.
@Phoenixsuns21 Makes me ashamed to have you be in my country. As well as being a fellow suns fan. Like chap here said, if you don't like his review, go make your own, and let's see if yours get to 547, 362 views. (As of July 2nd, 2010 at 831 am)
This is the most real review I have ever seen. This is how real people ride.
I'm really tired of racetrack oriented reviews with vague non-empirical remarks that seem to only be the photo-shoot scene for advertisements. I'm not Troy Bayliss or Migel Duhamel. I actually want to hear detailed information about everything that is lackluster. I want reviews to call these large companies on their bullshit, so to speak.
issues much mate, would you rather he jut said "its shiny and makes noise!!!". sadly that kind of review doesnt float with anyone acept kids like you.
issues much mate, would you rather he jut said "its shiny and makes noise!!!". sadly that kind of review doesnt float with anyone acept kids like you. so quit your bullshitting and slagging of this dude. nice job mate, though you still havnt put me off getting one. :)
Karl Harris raced one of these in British super sports and never used a damper, he also won the title. I had one of these about 4 or 5 year ago and i can honestly say its the best road bike i'v ever owned, it does everything you ask of it and eats poorly ridden 1000's for breakfast. They also keep really good money second hand. I wouldn't pay much attention to this review as the bloke looks well out of his depth on a sports bike. No offense mate.
Look dont get a fast 600 if you cant ride at high revs. Had R1 CBR954. both were much easyer to ride and go fast..now living with this bike and still running with the bigger bikes.. more fun but NOT for new starters willing to mix.
if i were you ide get the honda... overall hondahas the best quality. plus the steering damper and just its overall quality is better. but if you were tossin between a kawasaki ninja itd be dif but ide still go with the honda

Happy with my purchase. for me personally tho i dont commute far
the thing is with motor bikes now is that its either a 125.. or a 600! (and all the 'average' 600ccs look horrible i find)
and this bike would just be too powerful im worried about! Andi keep hearing bad stories about bikers!
But on the other hand, is a 125 too poop? Im suprised nobody does a sports bike 400cc that would be ideal - not too fast, not slow

superdave31 2 years ago
hey thanks for a great video, not only did you describe the bike in all its performance glory, but as an everyday city rider bike. Im about to pick up my CBR soon!
And Phoenixsuns is a douche bag. Not all us americans are cock gobblers like him!
thanks Nick you fucking brit! haha

Excellent review, exactly the style I was looking for.
It sounded a little too much like a generic Honda-shill-type review at the start, but the rest more than made up for it.
Heck, it pointed out exactly the things I was worried about (FI issues, mid-range power...)
I wish there was a comparison to the older CBRs (F4i, etc.) from the same practical angle...

this guy is a fucking tool! bitchin bout riding it slowly and having to stop at every petrol station! blah blah blah i don't give a fuck you dumb brit!

Best regards

Ignore the American fool. When he produces a review of the same predigree as yours then he can judge. He doesn't deserve your courtesy.
Ride safe.

@DrivenandRidden Lmao, why are Brits so good at comebacks? I <3 you guys. Keep your head up and ignore this fool. Aren't riders supposed to stick together?

@DrivenandRidden Well said D&R... It's actually refreshing to have a review that states the negatives, and not simply blow wind up the manufacturers skirts in an appeasing nature.

You know how they put the option to disable comments when you upload a video?
That feature is there purely because of twits like you.

It is upsetting to watch a great bike review like this and then someone coming up with an offensive comment like Phoenixsuns21's. Great reply by DrivenandRidden and quite polite.

This comment has received too many negative votes show
how old are u son the whole of 18 yrs old! what would you know about riding? britain produces some of the finest riders in the world and compared to america there is no real competition, if you dont believe that check out the 'tt races'

-cheers mate!!

If anyone actually thinks the country that a rider comes from has an effect on their skill level........they are an idiot.

Wow phoenix, I doubt you even ride at all let alone have even touched a bike. Both places have great riders you damned moron. Plus, I'm gonna bet he'd out-ride you anyday. The only tool here is you for trying to act like a hardass online.

USA is not equal to stupidity.

No offense mate.

yamaha yzf r6 is better

Look dont get a fast 600 if you cant ride at high revs. Had R1 CBR954. both were much easyer to ride and go fast..now living with this bike and still running with the bigger bikes.. more fun but NOT for new starters willing to mix.

@bebo3ful get the cbr 600. Its got a steering dampener and more comfortable seating. Steering dampener makes the ride 100% better

If I'm not mistaken, one light is the normal headlight and the other is the brighter one for night.
