I think I'm freezing. I had to become cold to numb the pain and stop further damage. But now as I'm partly numb I find it not to have been such a great solution.

I can see that it really isn't a solution in any way. Thus I wish to become who I once was.

I know I can no longer have that childish faith in God back, but I need to be more like him. More loving. Not because I want to, but because I see the end without him.
