SNES Longplay [107] Thunder Spirits

SNES was usually better than the Genesis, BUT NOT IN THIS CASE. This game is poop compared to Thunder Force III. Hacked up terribly.

Shame they didn't convert stage 5 (Hydra) as I like that stage and needed a few more subtle colours.

I had a system where I used only one weapon on each stage that best suited the stages:

1st: Laser and collect weapons

2nd - 3rd: Laser > Wave when I acquire it

4th: Lance

5th: Fire Missile

6th: Wave

7th - 8th: Homing

It helped me get through the stages without a miss or losing my shield. But then again, I played this so many times I knew where the safe zones were and anitcipated EVERYTHING that happened. Also I had the controller that let you shoot rapidly.

Thunder Spirits is not Thunder Force III (TF3). Thunder Spirits is an arcade port that is similar to TF3. Thunder Spirits was inspired by TF3. Play TF3 on the Genesis and you will see the difference.

Also, stage 5's music is from TF2's stage 8. Stage 5 is an homage to that level in TF2.
