windfall island is so much fun to mess around on when you get frusterated with your actual quest in the game. i always used to get mad when i couldnt beat a boss and then sail there to mess around. good times :)

Me and my sister played this game many years ago. I traveled all over the placem fought and rescued people, while my sister stayed on Windfall Island with her pigs. I hated giving her the controller, because I knew she was gonna do the same things over and over AND OVER again. Carrying the pigs up the mountain and jumping down.

If you think about it, THERE KAKARIKO VILLAGE MUSIC IN THE BACKGROUND! Somewhat, anyways...... I think that even though wind waker takes place eons later, it still has the resemblance to the other games. Outset island's characters are a LOT like kokiri. Windfall has the kakariko music, (somewhat) so clearly, its kakariko village's "desendant"

Ocarina of Time and the Majora's Mask will probably always be my favorites only cause Ive beaten them countless times and theres still parts where I have to stop and think. I expect a Zelda game to challenge me... Wind Waker failed to meet that expectation. And also, in my opinion, the soundtracks for those games were better, but thats something entirely different.

Some of it sounds synthesized (so no instrument, just computer) but there's tambourine, and what sounds like a mandolin...a little flute, possibly an actual ocarina...there are some weird instruments that sound like that without synthesizing, and I think they're similar to/ancestors of the piano. (stretched cords that you strike with little hammers).

Yeah it's actually supposed to sound similar to Kakariko village. Windfall island is sort of the spiritual sequel to Kakariko village and therefor they made the song similar. They made it sound familiar on purpose.
