I miss seeing Zenyatta race.....her retirement hit many of us in a much deeper, intense kick in the gut than we could have ever imagined. I have received SO many private e-mails from people afraid they might be ridiculed and from those who just want to keep a low profile. Every one of them express the conflict of emotions from joy she is happy-safe-and sound to literal grief..missing her so much it is as if you had lost a loved one a person said in a e-mail. She is loved and missed beyond words.
John, just found out she is pregnant, I am elated, you would think I was her owner, so thrilled with what Dottie writes, I love to read her blog everyday. Thank you to everyone who took such wonderful loving care of her, I AM SO EXCITED!!!, and I am at work now with tears in my eyes and love in my heart for this baby girl, Michele
I have watched this over and over since you posted. It makes my heart swell with Joy.
Steve is a doll. so kind and patient with the fans as all of you are. I love Zenyatta and each and every one of you at Barn 55 and Team Z with every ounce of my soul and I always will! I will never be able to thank you and the Moss' enough for bringing her back in 2010 thus allowing me to see her race 2 times and at her barn 2 times. It literally kept me going this year. Joy to Zenny and all of you always.
Love the video. Even tho she is being "wound down", she sure was eager to GO!! As a TB breeder and owner, I appreciate the access Team Zenyatta has given the public to this wonderful mare. With tears in my eyes I say THANK YOU!!! Looking forward to the babies.
That is so beautiful! thank you for sharing this video of her last gallop as a racehorse. It's clear that she enjoyed her job. She fills my heart again, so I am grateful to you for sharing her so generously with those of us who love her from afar.
Loved the ears too but my favorite part was seeing your and Ms Zs shadow on the rail towards the middle part of the gallop. What a cool picture or painting that would be to have for your wall. Thank you for sharing Z and her final gallop with us.
I just love this video and thanks so much for posting, John! I'm with the others..... couldn't stop watching her ears! Zenyatta is so observant and alert! Too cute! This may be as close as I ever get to riding a Thoroughbred, but what a ride it was! This horse has brought alot of love to us all that follow her. She will always be a winner to me! Love her!
I love it John, you are so great, you must miss your baby girl so very much, but you have a barn full of them we are anxious to see, I await every day for you to post about your babies as baby training is so fun fun fun!!!! Thank You for Posting SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! x0x0x0x0 from Maine, I look forward to seeing you Babies :)
John, what a treat to get to go on her last gallop! I love her ears. She is always so alert to everything that is going on. John, you did such an awesome job with Zenyatta! I will always love this horse for her mighty heart, pure determination, her grace, her beauty & the joy & love she has given to all of her Fan Family! John, I can't thank you enough for making this video! A dream come true! Amanda G.
John you gave us years of joy with this beautiful, and loving creature Zenyatta. She will live in my heart and soul forever, I will love her until the day I die. Michele
AWWWS YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYY I was hoping this wouldshow up one day but I was just happy to see her enjoying her retirement.... what a ride, thank u sooooo much!=]
Thanks so much John for keeping the fans in mind...what a wonderful experience you and all of Zenyatta's connections have given us. Can't wait for when Eblouissante is shipped to you....everyone says except for the white markings, she looks so much like Zenyatta, and she's intelligent like Zen. Hope you will have time to film her training. Thank you again so much for this wonderful video of her last training exercise. I know that must have been so hard for you to watch her leave.
What a sheer JOY for John to give us this wonderful treat!!! I could almost feel the wind on my face...again.. the tears are of PURE JOY! Thanks a million to all!!
I love the way she runs with her ears up. It's like she's just running and it's no big deal. I'll have to admit I have tears in my eyes watching this since it is her last ride.
Awww I remember this day and I see myself there! One last gallop! Thanks to you and everyone at the barn for being so gracious. I flew from Florida just for that weekend and it was a time I will never forget! <3

The sensation I got was how floaty her canter seems to be. If I had to guess, I'd think her canter is quite smooth.
Thank you for sharing this Magnificent Mare with us. Won't be another like her.
