Thai people were taught to believed that Muay Thai is theirs. So really they didn't believe that they took the sport from us. It's like an adopted child grows up to find out 30 years later that the parent is not the real one. Would that change anything? Think about that and you'll understand
So, you're telling me that thai people rather stay hidding from the truth, stay inside the dark closet and come out representing themselves with fake identities? Cambodia just woke up from a 30 yrs of sleep. Cambodia is a small country comparing it to thailand. But cambodian people has bigger hearts than thai people, that's how i see it if thai people keep denying the origin of muy thai.
Im just curious, what happen when Kun Khmer become popular and then every boxers, audiences, everybody in the world find out that muy thai belongs to Cambodia?
You're not answering my question. I did not ask which one going to be more popular than the other. I asked what will happen when everyone find out that muy thai belongs to cambodia? to be specific, how would thai people react to it when they find out?
I already answered your question. It will not make any impact the popularity of Muay Thai nor do people will begin to jump boat. There are people who already know where the origin of Muay Thai but does not change anything. It doesn't matter where the origin is. What's important is Kun Khmer is growing and will continue to grow.
The way you said it like you don't even care how and where thai people got this sport from, like you don't even care why in thailand there is a sport called muy thai. you just know that it called muy thai and you fine with it. you don't respect where it came from. Why did thai people takes someone else sport and re-name it ?
Sure I care but debating the origin of Muay Thai is useless. It will only slow the progress of Kun Khmer. Instead, use all that energy to promote Kun Khmer. I am sure you have plenty of those :)
You know really i'm not a boxer, in fact, im not really into boxing, but the truth is the truth. if you're telling me that you care, so you agreed that muy thai belongs to cambodia? and another thing i'm still wondering about, why did thai people take the cambodian sport and re-name? yeah, like why did you guys have to re-name your own country from siam to thai?
You making it sounds like a tree has no roots my friend. How can a tree grows without the roots? Please respect the origin of muy thai if thai peoples really love this sport.
I'm sure Thai people don't share the same view as Khmer about the origin of Muay Thai. Thai will say it belong to them, Khmer will say Muay Thai originated in Cambodia. In this case there are 2 different roots for 1 tree. Hope you understand where I am coming from :)
