i prefer rockband over guitar hero, not saying guitar hero sucks, i like em dont get me wrong, but my rockband setlist ranges past 600 songs that i like, all with the same challenge as guitar hero, even harder. i like guitar hero but i dont like number 5's setlist and the gems just dont feel right for me when i play em. like it doesn't feel good hitting crazy notes unlike it does for me in rockband. both are great games, but rockband is my game

@bluntman860 Guitar Hero 6 has a slightly better setlist so far, but they blew it by announcing that pathetic "Quest Mode." Rock Band 3 is bringing in Pro Mode, with a focus on actually learning the fundamentals of real instruments... which sounds much more innovative and entertaining.

I'm in agreement on Rock Band's look of the notes. I think they are easier to follow than the circular gems in Guitar Hero. So yea, Rock Band is my music game of choice, too.

I think GH5 chart is much better, rockband has a tendancy to over chart. To me, GH really focuses on the rythm

@Virus2020 I tend to disagree with this, but then again I have a bias towards the Rock Band series. I think this chart is fairly similar in both versions. I see only slight differences so it's hard to judge. On other songs, it's much more noticeable that Rock Band will tend to chart more accurately, while Guitar Hero under Neversoft will tend to underchart.

ok so maybe it was underchart what I meant, I think its actually not that bad. Another thing I don't understand is why does rockband cut the song off?....there was still more to the song that guitar hero just played, and there was a pretty cool solo in the end.....same thing with the song bohdisatva and our truth and others...guitar hero seems to have longer versions of songs from rockband, and also I think lazy eye seems to be longer on guitar hero

@Virus2020 That I think is the decisions of the developers, so as far as that goes I have no idea. I don't prefer either endings to any of the songs over the other. It doesn't really matter to me.

@Virus2020 Yea, it's all a matter of preference. I prefer Rock band because of its huge song selection, and you can import almost all of the songs from all but one of the rock band games.

@deathwing107 Actually Lego Rock Band has a Radio Edit that cuts the songs to be just a little shorter. I do not know if that's what the RB player chose as an option when doing that or not but I thought I would let you know.

@jugglaj91 No, the option is to only play like half the song, you don't play a radio edit if you decide to choose that option. It is the same way that it ends if you export the song and play it in Rock Band 2. Harmonix just decided to end it a few seconds sooner and add a different ending than Neversoft did, because the song originally just fades out.

@Virus2020 You raise a good point though. GH focuses more on rhythm, and I think that's because they chart the 2nd guitar part as rhythm guitar in some songs. Rock Band will always chart Bass Guitar as the 2nd guitar part. I think when you play Guitar solo on these same songs in guitar hero, it'll add in the rhythm guitar part in certain sections.
