  • what plane

  • DHC-8

  • you do relize that is 4 months old.

  • It was the last post and nobody had supplied an answer. Just trying to help.

  • what airline?

  • Air Canada's regional airline - Air Jazz

  • Great vid, and not a lot of excess noise in the bg, nice!

  • Very nice!

  • Damn Right!... I love the landings, take offs are cool too!

  • Yeah, because of the fact that they are both fast.

  • That's a very weird comment considering you cruise faster than your climb and approach speed.

  • nice vid, tnx for posting. =)

  • oh nvm!!! lol

  • how u get wheel view!!!!!!!

  • type of plane... Dash-8. High wings

  • dude nice, its so quiet.

  • it wasn't quiet in the plane, your just hearing the rumble...

  • exellent video!!very nice.

  • Thanks again... I have almost enough comments to fill an auditorium - Nice!!!

  • good job man

look at all my aussie plane videos, just click on my name!!!

  • Thanks a lot! Like your vids are pretty cool too!

  • That was awesome, thanks! =3

  • Big thanks!...

  • Hi everyone!

Thank you for this very good video. It manly focus on the landing gear of the aeroplane.

  • well, that's not exactly correct. Flight instruments are extremely sensitive. and WiFi and cellular signals can enter the same frequencies as certain Navigation frequencies. Almost all of these frequencies are not in use... but wouldn't it suck if you were the guy using his cellphone on a flight that is using the same frequency to navigate and crashed into a mountain? Sucker!

  • yea its A DH8-3 (dash 8-300) i work on those planes all the time

  • Nice! ever fly one?... just kidding. Maybe in about 5 years when I have like 3000 hours turbine time you can fix my plane!

  • Nope..Old wives tale

  • Wives tale? what are you talking about?

  • Hey Nick - I love this video. Where was the plane landing? I flew on one of these twin props from NYC to Buffalo in 2003. They are great fun!

  • I love this video too... mostly because of all the cool responses it has generated - like yours! I've never been so popular for doing nothing. Lol... I guess you should call me Paris.

  • For those doubting you can use a camera on airplanes, jetBlue has a contest looking for a cool photos taken from their plane.

  • Cameras do not radiate out a signal. Unlike laptops (WiFi) and Cellphones (Cancer).

  • nice xcapturing angle

  • Dude, I don't know what xcapturing means, but thanks!

  • where u were sitting i thought u were on the right landing gear and outside of the plane lol XD

  • Smoke another dube? sitting on the gear huh? Did you get a look at the wing and the direction the land underneath was moving? it was the left gear bud!

  • Portside sweetie

  • Not like a video camera will do anything if you are using it.

  • are u stupid...?.. it can cause problem with comunication in the cockpit & control tower...

  • Are you stupid? No it will not, did you happen to read what my name is on here? might explain why I know something about the subject..

  • I thought you weren't alowed to use video cameras on aircraft.

  • Of course you can use cameras

  • u cant use them on take off's

  • You can if the Flight Attendants don't see you.

  • u cant use them on take off's

  • Ok, let me clarify. I have a small shitty Kodak camera that also takes footage. I just pointed it out the window on our decent. besides, the flight attendant is strapped in her seat too at this point.

  • Haha... you must be a hosier.

  • superb........ first time saw landing gear during its touch down...

  • Me too!

  • are u flying first air?

  • hello can anyone, please tell me what for plane this is was, thanks.

  • It for is was a plane that carries passengers; takes off; lands; and generally makes travel faster. But if your asking the type of plane, it was a De Hallivand Dash-8 - 300.

  • very nice bravooooooooooo :)

  • Thanks... I just took the footage. The real thanks goes to the Pilot (whomever he is).

  • nice :)

  • Thanks

  • That was a lovely smooth landing in the Dash-8...The high wing gives the pax great visibility

  • The ride was awesome... I'd do it again.

  • Where were you coming from by the way?

  • D.C.

  • hey i am seriously thinking of becoming a pilot myself, and i was wondering if you have any thoughts or tips...

  • tips on what? hes a fucking passenger, asshole, ask him for a tip on how to properly fasten your seatbelt, moron!

  • Chill out, royal - you sound like a dink

  • fuck off alun-you sound like a buttblaster

  • HAHA... that's funny! Anyways, I have started taking lessons about 3 months ago... in about 1 year I'll be making money at it... boyah!

  • Don't mind the dink, just goto google and type in "flight schools - 'your city'" and see what comes up. In Canada, where I live, to become fully commercially licenced will cost about 50k.

  • at 3:14 to 3:34 you captured the engine not the outside. I think outside the window would be more intresting than the engine

  • Well I thought it was important to show people how the flaps slide out considering I had a perfect shot. Thanks for your input.

  • that was just too cool. i know nothing so someone educate me as to how this was recorded from outside the plane???

  • It was not recorded from the outside of the plane, the wings of a Dash-8 are fixed to the top of the fuselage.

  • good :D

  • Thanks!

  • Let me get this straight: This is your FINAL approach? Why won't you be doing any more?

  • HA ha ha... good stress on the word 'final'.

  • what airline were u on and where were u flying from?

  • are you on an Air Canada Jazz Dash-8?

  • Yep, I was on an Air Canada Jazz Dash-8. Holy Crap the plane is small!

  • oh because it looked like the engine was turning off, ive seen other prop planes taxi with only one engine and i wanted to know if its something thats mandotory because of fuel or\and safety

  • I guess you are right. I'm not sure what the regulations call for.

  • such a quiet plane, isn't it?

  • Loud as hell... I was half-deaf when I got out

  • really?! Looks so quiet!

  • Yeah, I was also sitting right beside the engine (as you can see)

  • might be unconfortable.. :D

  • Many jets do to, it saves fuel.

  • Um, no... the props just spun slower... both of them still spun.

  • It spun, stopped, bounced the other direction, usually this happens when the props are feathered. Regardless of whether the prop still spun, many airlines require that props and jets taxi with one engine to reduce fuel costs.

  • I was totally unaware that only using one prop to taxi was a regulation. Interesting.

  • so prop planes only taxi with one engine?

  • Not on this flight.

  • it's a matter of pilot preference. In the squadron where i was assigned, we cut the #1 and #4 to save fuel and safety among other reasons.

  • Oh yeah? That's interesting, thanks for answering my question!

  • Makes sense... I only fly single engine planes right now, if I cut that off I wouldn't be able to taxi anywhere - lol. But I did not know that!

  • WTF is young and steeles? Young and steeles is the shit buddy! nice video man. i live in toronto

  • Yeah, I'm from Toronto too but actually the Pink buildings you can just barely make out are at 'Yonge' and Finch. (Xerox building)

  • WTF is yonge and steeles, anyway? Great view, don't see that everyday. I like the gear coming down and the flaps and the touchdown. Pink buildings... weird

  • this is yonge and steeles

  • nice video :-)

  • good filming dude

  • Awesome, man!!

  • was that a Fokker?

  • dash 8

  • Soaking wet with goodness!!!! Post more, lots more :)
