well, that's not exactly correct. Flight instruments are extremely sensitive. and WiFi and cellular signals can enter the same frequencies as certain Navigation frequencies. Almost all of these frequencies are not in use... but wouldn't it suck if you were the guy using his cellphone on a flight that is using the same frequency to navigate and crashed into a mountain? Sucker!
I love this video too... mostly because of all the cool responses it has generated - like yours! I've never been so popular for doing nothing. Lol... I guess you should call me Paris.
Smoke another dube? sitting on the gear huh? Did you get a look at the wing and the direction the land underneath was moving? it was the left gear bud!
Ok, let me clarify. I have a small shitty Kodak camera that also takes footage. I just pointed it out the window on our decent. besides, the flight attendant is strapped in her seat too at this point.
It for is was a plane that carries passengers; takes off; lands; and generally makes travel faster. But if your asking the type of plane, it was a De Hallivand Dash-8 - 300.
Don't mind the dink, just goto google and type in "flight schools - 'your city'" and see what comes up. In Canada, where I live, to become fully commercially licenced will cost about 50k.
oh because it looked like the engine was turning off, ive seen other prop planes taxi with only one engine and i wanted to know if its something thats mandotory because of fuel or\and safety
It spun, stopped, bounced the other direction, usually this happens when the props are feathered. Regardless of whether the prop still spun, many airlines require that props and jets taxi with one engine to reduce fuel costs.
WTF is yonge and steeles, anyway? Great view, don't see that everyday. I like the gear coming down and the flaps and the touchdown. Pink buildings... weird

Yeah, because of the fact that they are both fast.

That's a very weird comment considering you cruise faster than your climb and approach speed.

Hey Nick - I love this video. Where was the plane landing? I flew on one of these twin props from NYC to Buffalo in 2003. They are great fun!

For those doubting you can use a camera on airplanes, jetBlue has a contest looking for a cool photos taken from their plane.
Pepston 4 years ago
Cameras do not radiate out a signal. Unlike laptops (WiFi) and Cellphones (Cancer).

at 3:14 to 3:34 you captured the engine not the outside. I think outside the window would be more intresting than the engine
SARINFO 4 years ago
Well I thought it was important to show people how the flaps slide out considering I had a perfect shot. Thanks for your input.
nduralt 4 years ago
that was just too cool. i know nothing so someone educate me as to how this was recorded from outside the plane???
sykopryde 4 years ago
It was not recorded from the outside of the plane, the wings of a Dash-8 are fixed to the top of the fuselage.

good :D

Let me get this straight: This is your FINAL approach? Why won't you be doing any more?
edyken77 5 years ago
HA ha ha... good stress on the word 'final'.
nduralt 5 years ago
what airline were u on and where were u flying from?
kosovar4life 4 years ago
are you on an Air Canada Jazz Dash-8?
Iridium725 5 years ago
Yep, I was on an Air Canada Jazz Dash-8. Holy Crap the plane is small!
nduralt 5 years ago
oh because it looked like the engine was turning off, ive seen other prop planes taxi with only one engine and i wanted to know if its something thats mandotory because of fuel or\and safety
Iridium725 5 years ago
I guess you are right. I'm not sure what the regulations call for.
nduralt 5 years ago
such a quiet plane, isn't it?
patrickcramer 5 years ago
Loud as hell... I was half-deaf when I got out
nduralt 5 years ago
really?! Looks so quiet!
patrickcramer 5 years ago
Yeah, I was also sitting right beside the engine (as you can see)
nduralt 5 years ago
might be unconfortable.. :D
patrickcramer 4 years ago
Many jets do to, it saves fuel.
DesMoineser 5 years ago
Um, no... the props just spun slower... both of them still spun.
nduralt 5 years ago
It spun, stopped, bounced the other direction, usually this happens when the props are feathered. Regardless of whether the prop still spun, many airlines require that props and jets taxi with one engine to reduce fuel costs.
DesMoineser 5 years ago
I was totally unaware that only using one prop to taxi was a regulation. Interesting.
nduralt 5 years ago
so prop planes only taxi with one engine?
Iridium725 5 years ago
Not on this flight.
nduralt 5 years ago
it's a matter of pilot preference. In the squadron where i was assigned, we cut the #1 and #4 to save fuel and safety among other reasons.
Fentanyl3 4 years ago
Oh yeah? That's interesting, thanks for answering my question!
Iridium725 4 years ago
Makes sense... I only fly single engine planes right now, if I cut that off I wouldn't be able to taxi anywhere - lol. But I did not know that!
nduralt 4 years ago
WTF is young and steeles? Young and steeles is the shit buddy! nice video man. i live in toronto
Iridium725 5 years ago
