not really. it is well know South Korea isnt even a regional power. US has more influence in East Asia than South Korea does.
South Korea ONLY does well in winter olympics (which no one watches) and for ONE sport. speed skating.

Though we lost many people we did not allow America to win. We fought until American soldiers were forced to leave so yes we did fight them to a stand still despite the number of losses.
