there is a smoking ban in pubs in ireland and it really isnt that bad,there is usually beer gardens where you can smoke and they are nearly always much better fun than inside plus you also dont have to go inside to get served.

It is about private property rights, I wish anti-smokers would stop using the Constitution as toilet paper.

The principle is private property rights even if it were to go to a public vote a bunch of idiots who never ever go to bars or clubs would vote for them to be smoke free. It is a choice that club owners and patrons should make not any vote or politician should make. Consumers will choose if they want to spend money in a place that allows smoking or not. If smoking clubs lose business they will convert to non-smoking it really is that simple no-law needed.
