  • Nice misleading in the beginning thats really original no sarcastic intined

  • Very, very nice. Good technique and a lot of feeling in your playing. You deserve a better instrument. Keep up the good work.

  • Cool!!

  • I like the handle...greasycookingpot....LOL....that's a good one for sure...OH yea, you play pretty good too. better than most of the armchair critics on here. take care, and keep hittin' it.

    oldmtnfart

  • Sucks, huh? Damn good for a 14 year old who could otherwise be breaking into your house looking for something to steal to buy drugs with. He's a damn fine piano player, but should re-record without the synth drums. Doesn't need 'em and we could hear more of his arrangement and his great playing.

  • Yes, sucks big time, hitting wrong keys like crazy.

  • that sucks, just fast, no feeling, play with a real drummer...

  • God damn, u are really fast!!!

    5 Stars from me.

jimoaklandu say's it right, u are a next Jerry Lee Lewis.

    Congratulations

  • You are Awesome dude!!! a young Jerry Lee Lewis prodigy!

  • damn you do a great job

  • at first i was like wow you got good reviews but then 45 sec. into i cried..

  • You're kinda recycling a lot of licks, and I don't mean the head. Also, there are other scales that aren't the blues scale that can sound good over a boogie woogie progression. Nevertheless, pretty good work.

  • The rhythm of your keyboard totally sucks, but the way you play is pretty cool! Keep going like this! =)

  • This is unbeleivable

  • unbelievable*

  • this was one of the most awsome things I have ever heard from a 14 year old

  • you're good but most of your stuff follows the same chord proggesions

  • Do you know 90% of all boogie follows 2 C 1 F

    1C 1 G 1 F 2 C then back to start at C again I think ?

  • progressions*

  • Let us know when you start touring. Would love to actually see you in person!

  • Hey you play just like I do! (at the begining anyway). Love this!

  • i'm listening to this awestruck! fur elise was brill but you've surpassed yourself bigtime! this was posted last yr so where is the 15th edition?

  • That was immense. Good stuff.

  • oh yeah, uh huh

And your not a narcisitic self-absorbed mental patient?

    Duh what am I thinking!

    That was a Retoricle Question

  • rhetorical*

  • You. Are. FANTASTIC!

  • man, that's some sweet piano!!! request: mario medly?? 5/5 stars for this.

  • This is a giant leap from you at 13. The real challenge - as you know but doodoos don't - is to construct a development that holds the attention all the way through, which this does. I'm still working at it!

  • Christ! Do you just make this up? You must talk to me next time you come round! lol another creditable 5/5 !!

  • I suggest you ck this guy out Jorg Hegemann - "Wall Street Diver" it will be inspiring specially if you like Boogie Woogie like you seem to do. Enjoy.

  • lol I play boogie and i cant do that lol use all haters should be slapped

  • I don't think you should call this swanee river. I mean aside from the note for note intro it sounds nothing like it, hell its not really even in the right scale. It's pretty generic sounding, sounds almost like a keyboard demo actually. Trying playing something closer to the actually song and try to stict to chords tones not C blues.

  • Give the kid a break he is very good if I could have played like that at 14 I would be rich today !! Now at 72 yrs old I tried to play boogie my whole life you think its easy?

  • Your Videos are great!

One thing you should do is angle your camera from above looking down so we all can see what you are playing man. Even a little higher from the side would be much better.

  • Where's this 14 year olds face? Every good piano player has a set of hands...

  • haha as a Piano person/freak

i have to say that was fucking cool lol.

i want to hear it without the beat

    umm....

forgot what i was going to say next.. hmm

  • Hmm, can he/you play The Super Mario medley?

    Great job anyway

  • Yeah!!!!! Super Fucking Mario Medley please!!!! or any piece that you want, i wish i would play like you, but naaaaa, i prefer to hear great musicians to be one of yours hahahaha

    fucking cool!!!

  • GREAT STUFF !

  • have you got the sheets music '?? You're great!!

  • man im 14 old pianist to and i've gotta learn this damm boogie!! it's so cooooollll i've gotta learn it!!

  • as the name said...IMPROVISATION =)

  • you´re really cool man!!

  • your hands reminded me of spiders!

  • ohh amhemmm.. imporovized... mmmmm... maybe not

  • Well obviously the main Swanee River bit isn't :D

  • i think he did the beginning like that on purpose

  • Yes! I did :)

  • Fairly common technique- I've done it on Suwannee river at school, start of the recording sounding like someone tone deaf playing it, then going into the heavy boogie

  • too cocky not to

  • great video but here is a constructive you cant spell "criticism"!

  • Absolutely loved it! Watched it 3 times in a row. Keep that stuff coming and don't quit advancing. Very cool and thanks for sharing. We need more people like you in the world.

  • kinda sloppy in the beginning, but then you showed your skill!

  • first he starts out horable

    after that :D OMG

    :-*

  • Excellent playing, take no notice of your detractors, they probably can't play anyway !

  • Try "Frankie & Johnnie" same tempo and very similar notes you are very good....

  • keep it up kid you are doing great I gave up at 14 and regreted it the rest of my life 71 yrs old now...Study Fess, Alan Tousaint,Tuts Washington, Booker T,Dr John, and of course Ammons and Johnson also for boogie chords I think Jon Cleary is the best get his version of Tipatina with the "Dirty Rice Revue" man he's good..

  • ehh. very generic sounding

  • crazy

  • you needa work on your timing and rhythm a fair bit mate

  • Is that towards the "improvised" bit? Because the timing was intentional there =D

  • That was GREAT. I <3 you and yer hands x) But i gotta ask. How long you been playin for?

  • Ermm.. about 6 or 7 years now? But that was mostly just those silly little songs you get in books for kids learning to play..!

I've been playing boogie a couple of years :D

  • WoW great skills for your age buddy !!!

If you have some digital boogie woogie notes could you send me some ??? Would be great.

  • nice job! and i think i have the same keyboard .. haha :)

  • I could never be bothered to watch the whole of the movies on here,, but I was hypnotised watching this. Truley great stuff. I'm 14 and no where near as good. You've inspired me to practice MUCH more. I hope to by as good as you one day (As cheesy as it sounds, it's a compliment all the same) C=

  • Good job, dude, i like the intro most^^

  • Very nice =)

  • yeah....again, another favourite. I started playing the piano, but I was too pre-occupied in trying to get my truck running and stuff. I miss it, and I might just pick it back up just so i can play like this. XD awesome job, man.

  • thats awesome dude... in the start i was like "oh boy this is bad" no offense but then you kicked in and i wow amazed you awesome man!!

  • Superb. Try rhythm just in your headphones, and keep your left hand for the keys only? But this is really great just as it is. Well done, Thanks.

  • What do you mean by the left hand in the keys only??

    Thankyou :)

  • You are using yout left hand to change the rhythm setting (which you do with lightening speed I must say) But could just be walking the bass continuously instead. But may be you prefer it as it gives you regluar milestones to change your patterns? Oh well, if you're happy with that then carry on ITS GREAT!! (I suppose that rhythm setting on a foot pedal would be ideal for you.) Thanks.

  • Awesome!!!

  • its pretty good but i just hate this stuff

  • try to play withouth a band and make a good strong left hand, I would say practise on that first. I would say, this sounds more like rock 'n roll, anyway keep up the good work ! :D

  • nice job. Ive had a lesson from Mr D smith as well - well worth it. My only comment would be to give the RH a break for 12 bars (you are mainly playing 8th notes all the way through it). Try introducing ther 12 bars with a simple one note riff, then a break for a bar, and then repeat. Just a thought. Keep the vids coming.

  • just spam it

  • Hun, I have no criticism for you. You're a hella good player =]

  • the playing was good (better then last time) but it doesn't sound a lot like swanee river and more just improvisation

  • That's why the description says "my own version of Swanee River Boogie" =D

  • I know but even if it's your own version if it sounds completley diferent shouldn't you just put my own boogie woogie composition or something?

  • Watching closer I realized your playing in blues scale but swanee river is in major scale thats probally why.

  • How!?

  • I used to play it =D

But I think I have forgotten...

  • Fantastic! I love that bass solo towards the end.

  • I wish! =P

  • Very nice! This is one of my singing dogs fav songs and she sang thru it while listening to you. lol (You can see her sing to a keyboard demo on my channel) Loved it!

How about boogie woogie Red River Valley?

  • wow. You are really good! And finally you put another video! I subscribed a while back and u put a new video! yay! No requests yet but i will probably think of something.

  • nice is it supposed to sound like that in the begining?

  • Yehh! I thought it would be cool to have it be crappy in the beginning. I meant to play it worse than that but it ended up sounding like I couldn't play it! lol
