  • Why should a militant Union leader like Scargill believe he has the right to bring down a democratically elected government, especially one with a 144 seat majority and a 15% lead in the general election of 1983. Democracy beats extremism everytime. What if the businesses decided to go on strike because a democratically elected government taxed them more? Would you support their 'right' to bring down a democratically elected government?

  • they didn't win the battle that counted did they.

  • It's nice to see that you guys across the pond have dumb Elvis looking redneck politicians too. It makes me smile, knowing that we are not alone.

  • Don't know how you'd get a red neck in Derbyshire, where Dennis is from, though.

  • @Bricray Don't be so up tight. It's just youtube.

  • It was a joke!

(Based on the general climate in Derbyshire and indeed the UK in general in comparison to where the term 'redneck' originally comes from.)

No offence was intended to anyone.

  • @littleteethkeith WTF are you talking about, you thickass cunt? Dennis Skinner is the opposite of a redneck- he's incredibly left wing. Dennis Skinner stands against everything rednecks stand for. Fuck you!
