From a Norwich supporter - Fantastic video! Obviously a massive day for us. Big respect to the Sunderland fans who shook the Norwich players hands after the game.Good luck this season - O'Neil was brilliant as player and manager for Norwich. Hope we both stay in the Premier league!

Hey , thanks for posting, my thrid season as a Sunderland supporter this one. Didn't realise how dismal the Mackemenemy era was (too young and no context), but this season made sure I would be Sunderland 'til I died (or had a major stroke). Biggest crowd in NE that season! Yeah mags we remeber your shameful past before you were sold a metrocentric pile of lies.
It was not a big deal when sunderland went down because the premiership dont give a fuck about you. Its a standard thing with u lot goin down nothing new piss off. You dont come from sunderland why support them then. Support your local team
5 1 beat down u fool EASY EASY EASY EASY. When was u last in europe and how long ago was u in the championship ?? How many times have you beeen in the championship past 15 years???? Come on now you fool
@MMAC0RE Relegation with lowest points ever. 2004-05 sunderland now everyone laughed at that. Lets face it sunderland will never be a better team than newcastle and the reputation will never be higher than us. If u actually think that ur an idiot and geordie shore i admit is a joke but who wants to represent you ??? no one you smelly dirty monkey mackem
@MMAC0RE And what have you achieved in them 3 years ??????? Except for a loosing ur best striker and a beat down 5 1 looool u mackems rave about anything piss off
@MMAC0RE you talk so much shite its untrue. in recent years newcastle finished runners up in the premier league, fa cup, qualified for europe, slightly bigger ground, so pretty fair to say Newcastle are the biggest club. Also u saying you can attract bigger players make me laugh your best striker since quinn, Darren bent left you for villa u idiot. PLus you finished higher than us by 2 points or something daft like that, id rather take the 5 1 to be honest SCUM
@MMAC0RE silly mate u got a beat down and yes we are the best team up north its a fact u will never and i mean ever be a bigger club than newcastle so PISS off bk to your shithole of a place DIRTY MONKEY MACKEM
great videos mate ..wish someone had the highlights of sunderlands win over chelsea at roker park 1992 fa cup win when gorden armstrong got that last minuet winner to send roker park wild ,,,,,,,,
The highlight of your season & you still sing & chant the nane of the TOON, all 70,000 of you ha ha & 29,000 to welcome the team back, cos they got in for nowt
God bless you for posting. Mackemenemy first season in charge was my first one as a proper Sunderland fan (got my first job to pay for my tickets). Nothing beats being 16 and going to the matchs with your mates. This took me right back.
It was the freindly final, got a lot of time for Norwich fans, canny lads.
Lol this guy is dreaming if he thinks there were 70,000 Sunderland and only 20,000 Norwich fans for the final. Their was at least 40,000 City fans inside Wembley to see us life the cup that day. If you think you had most of our half of the ground then your deluded!
Yep mate - sadly my memory of the Milk Cup final was being attacked by some cockney dickheads wearing yellow and green scarves and helping my father and some other pensioners hide from flying bottles and bricks.
There was very little "Let's be 'avin you" from the other end of the ground.
@JoeBellerby This was a recommended video, normally I don't comment but thought it was funny eg 70,000!!!!!! Mackems and singing one of our songs. By the way look on any NUFC posting and you will find mackems poking their beak in cos you lot are obsessed with us... normally I couldn't give a flying fuck about ya's.
@sgeour very true sir!!! we've suffered enough and been through more ups-and downs than a new york elevator, but i don't care if we've not got the ronaldo's, or messi's or rooney's i'll wear my red and white shirt and support them with all my heart til the day i die
i was there, remember travelling down in the boot of a ford sierra with another lad, his dad was driving, also remember 'the sun' centre page pullout we stuck on the side window of the car, saying 'black cats eat yellow canaries'
Sunderland 1 of the best supported clubs in the country lol u winding me up?? U cant fill your ground and the fans u have in the ground quite a few of them r irish who HATE the english and u spineless bastards sit next to them!!!! SMB FreeTicketMacums
@geordielegend9 ive been in st james park with less than 10k there. ive never been in such a small crowd at sunderland, even for a league cup game. the lowest ive seen was 11k, against chester city in an fa cup match. and i know of no sunderland fan who hates the english, youre linking the ireland shirts and flags shown in support of the former owners with hatred of england. which is ridiculous really.
@geordielegend9 oh sunderlands record attendance is higher, they also have the highest attendance for a tyne and wear derby. if hall and keegan hadnt come along in the early 90s giving newcastle all that "success" then the all time averages wouldve been very very close indeed. and as for the free tickets, they were given to schoolkids, usually for a tuesday night game against uninspiring opposition. you guys give freebies to smackheads for even the biggest games.
@toonarmy1969 well youre lying pretty much. ive been a season ticket holder for many a year now and the kids matches are well publicised, the kids have to be with a PAYING adult they dont just get a free ticket from school. and they always seem to be tuesday night matches, apart from 1 saturday game i remember against southend. but like i said, nothing wrong with giving them to the local schoolkids, when you lot give tickets to the tyne-wear derby to fucking smackheads for "good behaviour".
This should be used as a Government Health Warning about the dangers of Inbreeding and Incest in small Norfolk communities. Fuckin Retards d whole lot of you. Champions of fuck all.
there was 101,000 supporters there including me, and that was the loudest match i have ever been to. Also old trafford 2004 f a cup semi final, fantastic. Great memories! I wasn't t the Norwich game, too young but i remember the Northanpton game well eventhough I was only 9, stood in the main stand paddock with my dad.The good all days. Just not the same now!
@pissflaps07 I was gonna reply to him an arl mate but its such an obvious wum i just cant be arsed, i'll reply to you instead.
What the t*sser above you fails to understand is that as a supporter, the level of support you offer is pretty much your sole contribution to the club. I'd rather be a class mackem singing my heart out after a defeat than support any other team and win everything, enjoy your armchair.
too young to go me dad was there and i seen photos it was unreal i heard the roker roar haway the lads the mags wouldnt sing there players off the pitch after deffeat they would call for the mangers head, best support in the land sell out every away ground ive been to loads of away game where we take over the home teams end and in a cup final un heard of, cracking video, and the serges in the fullwell end on the last clip when we scored belta.
We had one half of the ground bottom and top tiers and most of the bottom tier in your half of the ground. If you were there you can not deny this fact.

One major trophy in decades(1973) and umpteen false dawns yet the passion for SAFC remains resolute. We may yet see the glory days of the 1890s and 1930s again under the Quinn/Short partnership.
True Story, I was in the back of the Fullwell with my Mag mate, who LITERALLY couldn't bear the noise we were making as it was "so loud" and he couldn't hear himself think and had to go to the front ha ha.
lol. 'The biggest crowd The biggest crowd The biggest crowd The biggest crowd The biggest crowd The biggest crowd The biggest crowd The biggest crowd'
@avfc0589 The Premier League needs more fans like you. Y'all are the reason a Texas girl like me ever got into the REAL football. It's a shame I wasn't able to witness English football back when it was about the fans and the game itself, and not about money.
Amazing what sound editing can do. Listen to the BBC commentary of the game and it's all Norwich making the noise. I was there and have to say how friendly it was between the 2 sets of supporters. We Got a lucky goal but on the whole deserved the win.
YEP im a geordie supported sunderland 40 years, you lot remember county durham ?,there was none of this mackum shit in them day's i remember the fulwell end in full voice singing 'geordies'or do you lot not remember too young or what.
i was there that day, that was the last 100,000 attendance at wembly. also note how the supporters stayed and watched the winners lift the cup, not like the premier prawn sandwich sulkers at cup finals in the last 10years. walking out in masses just because they've lost.
lol, a was in liquid newcastle last night, and this ginger geordie and his m8s started singin we h8 sunland in the toilets, so me and a few m8s started beltin out the gd old 'we'll meet again' song lol.
Dont worry about a thing cos sunderland afc are gonna be alright !

True Story, I was in the back of the Fullwell with my Mag mate, who LITERALLY couldn't bear the noise we were making as it was "so loud" and he couldn't hear himself think and had to go to the front ha ha.

I think you mean Sunderland was part of County Durham, mate. It became a borough on its own in 1974.

you sunderland supporters are great, this country needs more die-hard fans for their clubs. going too commercial nowadays.
anyway, i would like to say it was an honour relegating newcastle on our patch.
avfc0589 2 years ago 30
aston villa fans are some of the best away fans to come to sunderland ...great passion for a great club

@avfc0589 You too mate, serious respect for Aston Villa!!!!
Shackleton1976 1 year ago
Aye, they don't do too well against clubs who play in claret and blue. As the other nights result at Scunthorpe showed !!!

@avfc0589
villa fans are also very good. Both sunderland and villa are the two best in the country in my opinion

We Got a lucky goal but on the whole deserved the win.

i was there that day, that was the last 100,000 attendance at wembly. also note how the supporters stayed and watched the winners lift the cup, not like the premier prawn sandwich sulkers at cup finals in the last 10years. walking out in masses just because they've lost.
