  • Truely Amazing.

  • WE PROUD OF YOU.

  • TRUE LEGEND.

  • He learned music at KOCHE KHARABAAT of Kabul.Unlike Nashnas, Ahmad Zaher, he never obtained a degree in ART or Music. He learned Music from his USTAD. His MUSIC is works fine as a remedy for people who can't fall a sleep.lol

  • oh my god what he is doing i dont believe any body else can do it in this world

  • Wa wa

  • It's heart touching

  • Wah wah,

  • i heard of some other song cuz im reading the kite runner and even though i dont understand it sounds very good and soothing actually. very nice :)

  • master blaster!!!

  • wow, what a great song. for real Amir Khusrow Balkhi From afghanistan that created all RAAGS, in India. God Bless Him.

  • @MultiSuhrab ur wrong

  • @JustAStoner What do you mean I am wrong? You don't know anything about him, His father was from Balkh Afghanistan and his mom was indian like those Super Stars ( Salman Khan, Aamir Khan Feroz Khan ) that they are originally from Afghanistan. When you don't know anything about anyone go search and ask brother!

  • @MultiSuhrab His father was a Turkish officer and a descendent of Kara-Khitais region destroyed by the Mughal. I know a lot about him. And he is not credited for creating all Indian Raags as Raagas are older than Khusrow. He took our music to the Muslims. God bless him.

  • @JustAStoner Look I don't wanna disappoint you brother but you gotta search correctly hahahhaha Turkish don't know shit about raags and things like that please please correct yourself and search more TURKIC music is totally different. Just please search!!!!

  • @MultiSuhrab Hahaha look I don't know why u are so disappointed but neither did he learn music from Afghans nor Turks. Turk/Bihari hybrid, Khusrow learned music in his birthplace, Bihar as a kid and introduced a Islamic version for Muslims becuz our pure form was Haraam to them. India has taught all Afghanis how to sing like an Aryan including Ustaad Sarahang. Your perception of history is distorted because you think its perfectly fine to call yourself Aryan and Sunni at the same time.

  • @JustAStoner I am not disappointed and I won't be. I didn't say he was born in Aryana( Afghanistan) I said his father was born in AFGH, if your father is from an other country you are originally from that country I hope at least you know that much!!! All KHANS are originally from Afghanistan , Bade Ghulam Ali Khan Nusrat Fateh ALi khan and etc...... India didn't know shit at that time it was all KHANS ( Pathans) hard working that made the music perfect in INDIA.

  • @MultiSuhrab You don't seem to know that all Khans are Mongolians or converts. And the Islamic influence that diverged Indian Classical into Carnatic and Hindustani is attributed to be Persian. Besides Khusrow lived in the 13th century while the first set of raags were defined in 6th century in Brihaddeshi by Matanga Muni. I love Afghanistan, Sindh & Punjab bcus we were all Aryans in the past and now we are all engulfed in the same ever increasing desert land.

  • @JustAStoner You may think I say this cuz I am Pathan, but this is the truth brother. Don't get upset I love INDIA and all Indians, matter of fact India is my second country and I love it like my own country!!!! you believe it or not.

  • @JustAStoner Okay Okay you win brother. You have a good life if there's anything I can do for you please don't hesitate to ask, I am always at your service if you are here in USA I can serve and meet you in person. Take Care!

  • WOW speechless

  • Excellent Qulla, not many doing the same these days except Ustad Fateh Ali Khan.

  • Raag Bhairav

  • rwh ustad bzrg mwsqi ma shd badddddd

  • This was a concert at Tajikistan

  • Listen to those high notes and then the juxtapositioned low gravelly notes! Extraordinary. No wonder why he won everything there was to win!

  • har kas maqami khod ra daraat

  • @dooruftada it is the fact that he was sartaj Mosiqi... They gave him this title in India not in Afghanistan

  • Can someone post this video in response to few videos of USTAD BADE Ghulam ALi khan, mehdi hassan sahab, ghulam ali and other classical singers....I honestly think this is treasure that needs to be shared with other music lovers. A lot of indian listeners simply don't know Ustad. I think he is the best classical singer ever and more people need to know him! Thanks

  • A very rare item you have brought over hear for sharing with You Tube music lovers. Many thanks for the great job. God may bless you.

  • thank you for upload, I had never heard this before. How on earth anyone can deny music to muslims, our soul entered the body with music.

  • آن روز کہ روحِ پاکـ آدم بہ بدن

گفتن درآ نہ ميشد از ترس بہ تن

    خواندن ملائکہ بہ لحنِ داؤد

در تن در آ در آ در تن در تن

Native Farsi speakers please correct me if I got it wrong: that day the pure soul of Adam said (to the body)

I am scared to enter the mortal body

(Upon God's instruction) sang the Angles in Dawood's melody

worry not and enter this body, enter this body

  • آن روز که روح پاک آدم به بدن

گفتند در آ، نمی شد از ترس به تن

    خواندند ملایکه به لحن داوود

درتن درتن درآ درآ درتن درتن

Dear Mazdaki. you are write with translation; though, poen is not translatble. But the last vers is of double meaning. The first meaning is the one you have written. the other meaning is only the rythm (thaal) that is repeating itself. - music.

  • He is Pathaan from great great Afghanistan

    1

    The legend.

  • jagjit singh, ghulam ali and mehdi hassan are not in the same league with 'any' of the khalis classical singers Mrusa. It seems you only listen to Ghazals to satisfy your urge to reach deapth. You need to read up a bit more. Pakistan has given us many many classical singers and so has India. And Sarahang solid rocks too.

    Hugs Autumn

  • @mrusa9900 You don't know what you are talking about. Jagjit Singh, Ghulam Ali and Mehdi Hassan are not classical singers and they never claimed to be one. Please talk and debate about something that you know and like. Talk about Nashenas, Sarban and Ahmad Zahir. They are all good singers. There are plenty of clips of them on the Youtube.

  • lol you're silly.

  • MINDBLOWING! A TRUE LEGEND!!!

  • advice!!

JUst close eyes and not watch video...

its incredible!!brilliant!!...I can imagine SamratTansen!!! This truly is unbelievable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

  • You are right ... only Bhimsen Joshi, Jasraj, Kumar Gandharva, Nazakat Salamat Ali Khan, and B. Subramanium are at the same level with him. He is truly was a Tansen of his times and of our times.

  • whats the name of those 2 instruments that the guys are blacking in the background?

it sounds entrancing. any help would be appreciated :P

  • Those are called tampura. They produce the drone-like sound, they're set to the main notes of the raga.

  • thank you very much. aha, i had been trying to figure that out for the longest time.

is that an instrument one uses to better his/her voice?

  • Yes, the tampura has 2 main functions:

    - Help the singer stay in tune.

    - Establish a kind of trance for the singer and the audience.

An electronic version of the instrument came out a few years ago in India. The advantages are: solidity, very little space occupation and no need to tune. It's meant for home practicing because the sound, although very good, isn't 100% similar to the traditional tampura.

The electronic tampura box, called Raagini, can be ordered from Internet.

  • I forgot to add: I have a Raagini with which I pratice my tabla and my mom sings, and we are entirely satisfied. I bought it from India.

But you can order it from England, and perhaps from Germany and U.S also.

  • thanks for all the info :)

now i have a better understanding. thats awesome, your mom sings? that is sweet! and you play tabla? GREAT! you should record yourselves and upload it on here..

  • OMG!!!!!

MINDBLOWING control over his voice..teach me Ustad Sarahang

  • AMAZING!!!

    ONLY ONE USTAD

  • incredible!!!!!!!!!

  • Great Ghazal but why put a video of a different performance? lol

  • 1. its no "Ghazal" >> its "RAAG"

    2. its not original vdieo ... amoto joresh kadan.

  • To my best understanding, a raag is the scale or mode and a classical performance with tabla, voice, harmonia, and drone in background is called Ghazal.. if I'm wrong, correct me correctly and please tell me what a Ghazal is

  • wow, brilliant, marvelous, excellent, genuine and perfect. He generates sounds which are beyond my imagination and takes me to the depth of nature with a unique wonderful mood. I need bottles of whisky to complete the journey he has taken me lol.

  • اگر فردوس بر روی زمین است

همین است و همین است و همین است

  • ustad sad 100 salam

  • آنروز که روح پاک آدم به بدن

  • He was and still is the GREATEST.

  • OMG, was looking for this GHAZAL! GREAT! Finally get to hear thsi great ghazal song he sang! Magnificent! i want him to be my teacher!

  • This is not a ghazal. It's a tarana. He died in 1983, so it's impossible for him to teach you. LOL

  • wah wah so beautiful, so nice. perfect!

  • Heart listens, soul cries and mind cant belive.

    The great KING Sarahang.
