However, that is no reason to make sweeping generalizations about women. Both sexes have much to bring to the table, and if we can somehow find a way to use our differences to complement each other rather than battle each other, we might have true equality and understanding.

My point was that it would be insane to place a YOUNG female in charge of an engineering project rather than an experienced male, yet the same YOUNG female believes she knows what's best for society. And that's the weird, upside world that we live in where young females have more say and influence over societal direction than do older experienced males. @SirFrancisDashwood15 That wasn't even the point of my own post, and I agree that experience should trump sex when it comes to most things within and even outside of the workforce.  I remain to be convinced that women, especially "young females," have more say and influence over something as broad as societal direction, which I believe we all play a role in. As illustrated in your own previous comment, both sexes are guilty of passing unfounded judgment on the entirety of the opposite sex.

It is rarely about a benefit to the man. It is to benefit themselves.

This is why after marriage women commonly gain weight, lose interest in their appearance and don't dress as well. They no longer have to.

Maybe I've been reading biased articles, but I've read that both sexes put on a bit of weight and don't care for their looks as much after marraige. If the stats are higher for women - on the weight bit - I'd be willing to bet it's at least partially due to the fact that women are biologically engineered to have higher fat percentages anyway.

Men are still saddled with the responsibility in many areas including dieing in our country's wars. Yes females ''serve'' in the Armed Forces, but it is against US policy to place them in ''Combat Roles.''  Not enough ppl are aware of this and they assume that females are dieing at an equal rate in battles, but they aren't. I wish fems had more ''equality'' in battles.

If the military has different rules for women that aren't directly related to their gender-typical abilities/inabilities, then I don't support the establishment of those rules either.

I'll be the first to admit that women can be terribly sexist when it comes to their opinions on male behavior - way too many generalizations based upon the actions of one man or a small group of men - but they tend to be more subtle about it. I think man-against-woman sexism receives more attention because statistically men are guilty of more blatantly violent acts against women. TBC

@jhvenus2004 It's primarily a hormonal difference, to be sure, and we should be focusing more on preventative measures - how we can teach men (and women) better self-discipline and control - than on painting all men as criminals or slavedrivers of women. Women are actually slowly but surely pulling ahead of men in the developed world, but that doesn't mean that there aren't misconceptions and stereotypes still left to dispel for both sexes.

@jhvenus2004 On a bit of a tangent, the educational system also needs some serious reform, as male students are underperforming in schools simply because they are more active than females and would benefit from a hands-on approach, rather then being told to sit still and listen all day. Contrary to the typical American view of things, one size does not fit all, least of all when it comes to education. (I apologize for spamming your inbox.
