it was actually farndale court and brayton grange opened in 1966 by dennis healey farndale and brayton came from the names of peter brayton and john farndale councillors of leeds in the 1940s
yea i remember that happening. If it was 1997 i'd have been 7 at the time. I live in the Pennwells. I remember really well these towers coming down, was basically the start of the whole regeneration project. So much has changed and yet there's still so much building work to be done.
Quality, I was there too, stood on the other side of the Digger - I filmed it but can't find the film. Good to see the flats destroyed though, they weren't all that cracking.
hey i know u posted this comment a while ago, but if you ever did get round to converting the VHS it'd be great if u could upload it here. I've been tryin to find a video of the demolition all over the internet but theres literally nothing out there in full motion. Even pictures are pretty rare to find.

Vera Duckworth blew 'em up, my grandad lives round corner, u could see them. I watched the Langbar ones get demolished next too

not bad , i filmed it from top of sherburn court but its still on VHSC soon as i can get it converted onto computer ill post it .
