What amp/effect are you using?

The review would be a lot better if your microphone were closer to the amplifier and further away from the guitar. It's hard to get a good picture of the sound when i hear the sound from the plectrum all the time.

have you played higher end 8 strings? does this guitar feel cheap in comparison, as if this guitar is like the Squier of Schecters?

@buttholesurfer101 In short, no it doesn't. I have also played a Schecter damien elite which feals practicaly exsactly the same.

I watch this allot just for the Inspector Gadget part, and as the lower post said getting an omen 8 and gonna put 808x's into it, that and maybe the 19:1 locking tuners from the atx c-8. Only on the Ramen diet saving for it part atm though.

Is the neck as thick as some schecters? Ive heard some horror stories over schecter necks,but thats probably from the die hard ibanez players with those paper thin wizards,haha.

@rockerdude29 I havn't played to many schecters but i recon over half the time it's just fan boy bashing. the neck on this isn't as small as i il'd like but it's pretty much flat and very playable.

I play a 5 string bass and I'm probably going to trade in an old Fender P Bass I don't really play. Would you compare the neck of this to a 5 string's neck?

Dude, go for EMG 808X's, they are less compressed sounding than the original 808's, plus they have a passive pickup sort of voicing to them, I don't usually like EMG's but the X series are really damn good. :)

@soulanumfanpage I would say definatly, exspeshaly if your a prodominant lead player. also opens you up to health problems if your not carefull. I would recomend going for a 7 first.

@soulanumfanpage Yeah in comparison to a 6 string and evan a bass the neck thickness is wider, tenfold. if don't adjust your self properly your prone to muscle problems.

ive heard that the dimarzio d-activators are pretty decent if youre looking to upgrade the pick ups, itd also be cheaper than getting the whole thing rewired for active pick ups, thats the route im gonna go with mine i think,

@assbutt102 They already come stock with EMG sized active pickups,it would be easier to just get some EMGs.

@rockerdude29 yeah dude, i highly recommend em if emgs or bare knuckle are out of someones price range, they tighten up the low end a lot and the bridge pick up is mint on clean stuff

Inspector Gadget FTW!!! Nice review man, this is such a great guitar to play. Got mine a week ago and did a video of it the day after of a short review and then showing off the tones. Keep up the great work bro \m/\m/
