yeah for sure, the railway of today is pretty bland compared to this.. the 'loco and coaches' scenario only appears for railtours now. I bet back then the enthusiasts put a fair bit into the coffers of BR (i know i did) lol, but todays modern trains are no fun anymore, and the enthusiasts have moved on too..
