I'm not fat but I am black. Black women (BW) tend to have more of an issue with weight than the men. But there are fat ppl of every race. It just so happens companies like Disney don't go out of their way to put beautiful BW on screen. Instead, it took Disney over half a century to produce a movie about a black princess (who lived in the Lousiana ghetto, but struck it rich by accidentally landing a prince). Black ppl in general are portrayed as stupid and fat on Disney shows unfortunately.

You shouldn't be using imported television as a refrence for information about Americans. The people who produce those shows aren't trying to provide you with information about a country's people they're just trying to get you watching so they can sell advertisement slots at a higher price.

Yeah, if your're white, and you get fat, you have to check that little box that says "black" or "other". Most whites that get fat just check the "other". Pregnent women must check the "other" box untill they have the baby then they can check the "white". I was white till I was 30, (too much brew) so I would just check the "other" box, knowing I wasnt going to stop drinking. AMERICA, land of the free............and the band plays on.

Disney markets them in this way to exploit them. Just look at Brittany spears, christina agulara, Lindsay lohan, and now Hanna Montana. And Show casing fat black actors is a trick from the 30s, they seem less of a threat. Disney's the devil.
you can't sweepingly categorize all nationalities. Not all blacks are fat, not all Poles are drunkards, not all Germans are Nazis, and not all Australians are chavs.
Are you serious, I am black and no i'm not fat, If you really want to know most off Americans that are fat are white people, You rarely rarely see a fat black guy sense we play a lot of sports.
Just as with most media, it's biased and degrading. I'm white and American, never had an issue with my weight (I've been 125 ibs. [56.7 kg] since my adolescent years) AND I live in the south, which is known to be involved with fried chicken and lots of it - yes, it is in the culture for some black families to inherit weight problems, but not all. Americans of all races have weight issues that run in the family.
Not all black people in the US are fat. Yes many are but that isn't all inclusive of black people. I am not black but I used to be quite fat at one time. I was at my heaviest I was 164 kg. I am currently staying around 96 kg. I think it is more lifestyle than it is genetics. I made the choice not to be fat anymore. BTW I am Caucasian. My sister on the other hand is quite large for her height. She is 165 cm tall and weights 120 kg. She has made the choice not to loose weight.
