Interesting conversation below. True we should stop killing more than we need. Plus alot of animals killed to eat are endangered. Like whales. And the species of fish that is responsible for caviar. Though not hunting altogether would defeat the purpose of prey animals, a lot of hunters just do it for sport. And the definition for poacher is illegal hunter. So it still is 'hunting'.

@367candycane have you ever watched animal planet? theres alot of videos where lions fuck shit up they eat gazzeles and other stuff they dont give a fuck about grass eating theyre on higher rank of the food chain,they dont give a fuck about theyr familys,its all about survival,if you can, you eat meat,if no you eat grass or what ever,but if you have a chance,you eat it,dont let it away coz it might have a family.

@367candycane Still on this? This is my first post. There are animals on the edge of extincting due to Poaching for profit which isnt hunting and is those people are hated by hunters. Make it illegal for those endanged to be hunted which is already in place and punish those who kill them. Hunting non endangered animals for food with proven practices doesn't threaten them. Moose are nowhere close to being endangered, and theres only a limited amount of tags for them which prevent overhunts
