  • in puerto rico run the best tuner -- personly work with pedro lajara -- he runs a CIVIC (8.67) the fastes FWD in the carribean and the 8 sec was with a bad exhaust weld he expects to reach the 8:40 or lower

  • low 10s @ 140mph with 850-900whp??? I don't think so, should be running 155-160mph at least if it had that whp. Nice car though.

  • he wasnt running it all the way. This car has a best time of 8.90 at 170mph. This car dynoed out at 900Whp. This is a new set up so they were tuning it cause this is a 8 Second car bro.

  • The car had basically split the carbon fiber manifold down the seams, he was only running wastegate boost because of it.......

  • You utilize two wastegates to control boost creep.

  • WRONG, with a turbo that big and amount of boost they're pushing, a second waste gate is not needed.

    The dual waste gate setup is for the twin scroll manifold/turbo combination in order to achieve faster spool and still have as much top end power/flow as possible

    BTW: It's easy to to creep with smaller turbo/internal wastegate/ and low boost than with large turbo/external wastegate/and a lot of boost..

  • boost control is also the reason why they run two gates...

    The boost has a changing set point depending upon vehicle speed/rpm. If you have over shoot...you have wheel spin...in nearly every gear.

  • so do they manage one like a normal wastegate then electronically control the other one? or...

  • Dual wastegates also allow you to get the minimum boost low with large turbo's to aid in traction out of the hole and in 2nd gear, not just for divided housings.
