I once took a shot at one in the middle of a flock working it's way up a mountainside on Thanksgiving morning with my single shot .270 rem mag, when the shot broke they all flew up 20 or 30 ft into the air making a ton of racket. It was like it was raining turkeys, I was laughing so hard that I had trouble reloading through the tears in my eyes. I was able to get off another shot but missed. Trying to head shoot a turkey at 120+ yards while laughing is no easy feat! Those birds are funny!
