  • well full reps are harder yes, partial reps are much more easy and you can get more of them, but it doesn't mean one is necessarily better it depends what youre wanting out of it, but im still stronger then him and im old school i always do full reps but sometimes when doing descending sets ill do partials oh the burn :)

  • to all those saying these are shit reps..... give it a try!!! this is bodybuilding, not powerlifting... this style keeps CONSTANT tension on the chest which actually makes it ALOT harder than if he was doing full ROM. Full ROM on a chest press incorporates alot of front delt and tricep anyway..

    he is controlling the weight better than 99.99% of people who have ever stepped in a weightroom. elbows and shoulders look stable. He is working the mid range of motion with emphasis placed on control of the bottom and top of the range, and transition from positive to negative. if more complainers new more about form than they did test cyp, you would see more guys that look like bodybuilders.

I'm not gonna be one of those dicks who says "are you as big as him?", but still I expect you to know what you're talking about. Without fully locking out or touching the chest, the chest has to work the whole time just to support the weight. Just give it a try, it's gonna be hard as shit and you're gonna want to touch the bar on your chest.

  • @8jakeP8 I have trained like that and all I know is that I feel nothing the next day! When i complete a full range of motion Im sore as shit the next day! I guess its my own personal preference. And yes I am bigger than Melvin. He even admits it! Take care sport!

  • @Ducatilover8777 Mmm, I don't know about that last part, but as for the first part, when you did so did you not touch your chest? If so did you put as much intensity as you do in your "normal" sets? Also did you try it at least one more workout to see if you just needed to get used to it? If no to any of those then all I can say is... Uh, well I didn't think that out, but, uh, I know try it again and one more time.

    Finally soreness doesn't mean good workout, just hard recovery...

  • @Voodoofreak35 Oh man yeah I just checked it out now, that sucks, apparently he's also not doing the 2010 Mr. O, don't really blame him though, the man's in his 40's, and even though in his 33 competition history he has missed a top 10 placing only 3x, in the 08 Mr O he got 6th, in 09 he got 11th... I'll miss him.

  • @anytingbu Winning three times qualifies you as a champion. Also, Night of Champions and the NPC American Nationals Overall and superheavyweight winner is a big win as well. So yes, he is a champion.

  • @anytingbu Well the interpretation of champion you have made is your own. I am saying however that since he has won three shows, it makes him a champ, at least at those shows and in his own right.

    Now does it make him the best in the world.. no....but it does make him a champion as proven within specific shows and situations.

    The olympia was created actually to showcase the different champions that existed in the Mr. Universe and out of state Champs from different shows....weiders words.

  • @EliteExtra muscletech supplements are placebo. I ve used many of them and they dont really work. But you should try out yourself.
