OMG!!! Zinio are copying a smaller company called Other Edition, which do the exact same thing, but are soo much better, they add so much more interactivity and re-design the magazine itself, i think zinio are the tesco of the digital magazine industry!
This reader sucks because it cannot show up the voice-read button in the magazine. So why I bpurchased this magazine? It's useless and I still need a PC Zinio reader 4 to listen the context! Disappointed
1. I would expect to save about 20% on the cover price of a single issue of a magazine.
2. I would expect to save 30% off the annual print subscription cost, and not see print subscriptions going for less than I am paying for a digital sub.
3. I wouldn't pay extra for interactive content as I don't believe it adds much value. But I would really like to see it.
1. My main consideration for pricing of singles would be magazines that I wouldn't buy in print but might want a cheaper digital alternative. £1.99 though an alternative would be a price that declines after release date.
2. I would expect to save at least 30% and would want 50% or more saving with a subscription.
3. I would want an optimized edition as standard, though depends on what this includes. For additional content beyond what I could get with hyperlinks/google an extra £1-1.50.
1. I think the price point can be reduced by £1 to £2 and possibly a standardized price across the board say £1.99.
2.£14.99 to £19.99 for a subscription (but already seeing some of my favorite magazines with a £5 annual subscription as for the iPad , iPhone versions both using Zinio, and physical versions all sent) So that price could be a lot less and more appealing.
3.I suppose the price of the magazine normally for optimized and additional content, or £1.50 extra in terms of figures.
Great review again. Def subscribing as enjoyed your AppleTv review also and just purchased an iPad so looking for some good reviews. Keep up the great work
zinio magazine are awesome, very digitalize text and pictures, including video/photo within the digitial magazine. It almost completely different than reading pdf
@superste53 I really don't think you could replace a laptop with this, unless all you do is email & internet. Internet is free on your own WiFi. Outside the house 3G costs different depending on your country and data plan.
1. How much would you pay for a single issue of a magazine? If it was just to browse through, it would need to be $2 or $3. Subscription magazines are competing against free web content so it has to be cheap!
2. How much would you pay for an annual subscription of a magazine?
be happy to pay $20-25 for an annual sub.
3. How much extra would you pay ADDITIONALLY for an optimized edition?
Would need to see it first - need to evaluate the type of content before deciding definitively.
WOW nice video, its really nice to see such good information on a vid, the true is you can buy USA iTunes gift cards at this store iTunesgiftScards at COM, they are legit iTunes Gift card store, they deliver to me by email, and Fast, my advise to you :)
Is there a possibility that if you connect a headphone with dolby surround sound that you can listen to music in dolby surround sound or is that not possible?
1. For straight conversion, I would expect maybe 10-15% less than print.
2. Depends on frequency. I would expect 40-60% reduction on monthly price (in line with print). Don't know why international pubs still cost way more.
3. I would pay a premium for active content, tags, ability to search my library for past issues that contain certain terms. I would also like to see social features on content. I would pay 10% more than print price for that.
@t1bbs Have a look at the PixelMags option. They've been amazing regards to pricing. $0.99cUSD for first issues. Between $0.99USD and $4.99USD for back issues. I've seen some of my favorite mags subscriptions for 6 months priced at $9.99USD. Pretty damn good! I also don't need to go into the Zinio store to view them each time. They sit right on my ipad, iphone desktop. A+++++
@VinnyTheCuz You can delete from the iPad and download again at another date, or on another device. Really easy, your Zinio account remembers your purchases.

I would expect to pay $4-5 for a single issue of a popular magazine, but would also like to see some deals ($.99) for smaller magazine types. For a subscription Around $8-13 for a year. I think they should have extra content like video, links etc. without extra charge. I think it's pretty much expected.
This app looks like one great reason to own the iPad.
In response to the questions:
1. I think anything from 30% upwards savings wise would be what I would expect. I would not want to pay cover price.
2. I would subscribe to The Hockey News, which appears to cost £25ish here. At 30 issues, thats less than £1 an issue, so the savings would be big here.
3. I would be willing to foot an extra $2 per publication to get extra features such as video etc.
1. I would pay 80% of the printed price if the experience was very intuitive and smooth.
2. I would pay 90% of what the current printed subscription price is.
3. I would not pay extra for additional features unless they were beneficial to the content being read.
I have had a chance to use Zinio on iPad and see a very high amount of potential. Once the app becomes a bit more stable and smooth as I'm sure future updates will do, I will start purchasing several subscriptions.

1. It would depend on the magazine, of course. Quality magazines are worth about $3 dollars digital single.
2. A buck an issue for montly is about right. Less than a dollar for weekly magazines.
3. Digital content is worth maybe extra $3 a year. You're competing with the web, pricing for your Nat Geo and Maxim is about right.
