It's quite a terrible explenation from him in my opinion. Everyone knows how to pass, duh. What you need is courtvision. And no1 in the history of the NBA has it more than Nash. And than there's also the quirky dribbling and high-percentage shooting from him luring opponents and creating those windows of opportunity to deal out assists. But at least he has the technique part right :p

To compare Nash and Kobe, you look at their playing styles. All the defenders Kobe draws when he penetrates should allow him to pass out of trouble for tons of assists. Instead he tends to force some shots, although making a lot of them due to his prolific scoring touch. However, when Kobe has a bad day, his team WILL suffer. Because he also attempts 2-4 times as many shots as Nash does in a game, Kobe will have to be shooting around 50% for the Lakers to be on their way towards a win
