  • Your buddy seems to be a most fortunate indivual indeed. Stay safe

  • Sorry but I have a hard time believing you "accidentally" loaded CorBon ammo. The other thing is you show your "mistake" then at the end of the video you say "safe shooting guys". funny

  • Read the instruction manual. It clearly says "No +P ammo!" That notwithstanding, I still think it should not have had THAT kind of failure!

  • @doubltap Have you ever chrnographed any of Corbons ammo? If not, shut the hell up. Corbon ammo is ridiculously fast.

  • THIS VIDEO IS NOT A FAKE !!! IT WAS A MISTAKE !! ...I dont know anyone in their right mind who wouldnt to intentionally do this to a firearm.. ESPECIALLY since they stated how they are GUN ENTHUSIASTS !!! None of us Gun Lovers wanna see this happen to our Collection pieces..it's like the equivalent of an Earthquake near a WINE CONNOISSEUR's House and his collection smashes all on the Wine Cellar floor.. PLUS !! This could have gone horribly wrong..so anyone who thinks FAKE .. go Troll elsewhere

  • get your self kel tec pf9 i shot +p many times NP !!

  • Check out 2:18 that is the guy it supposedly blew up on. His hand is fine.

  • @Sounds4theInfowar My hand was fine except for the tiny pieces of metal lodged in my fingers and the swelling. I WOULD of blown off my other hand if i hadn't been smoking, my second hand would've been right under the blown out barrell. As for being fake, screw you buddy, this was some scary shit. I would never wish this upon anyone (unless they think its fake). Im not sponsored or supporting anyother gun companies out there. I wouldn't risk my hand and $400 for a review.

  • So many people try to sound so smart in their comments but... anyway. The bore pressure delivered by +P ammunition far exceeds the psi limitations of this weapons. As a result the barrel ruptures under before the projectile can exit. No barrel obstruction is necessary. Someone on here said Glocks would do this if one round hits another round in the barrel. Glock barrels are made of a much stronger steel. Even if another round is fired into a squid round the barrel will most likely only bulge.

  • @johnes8883 exactly !! ..

  • Yes, smoking can save your life. :)

  • Bye bye warranty. Hello adhesive bandages.

  • @NoahLDiamond There were no bandages. There seemed to be no damage to the guys hand. This is fake...

  • Dude this is such an OBVIOUS barrel obstruction..glocks will do that too if a round never leaves the barrel and then you put another down the pipe.

  • Holy shit you are lucky.

  • *knukle bumb*

  • I will agree that this gun is a POS. I will also agree that it looks like some kind of barrel obstruction.

  • I'm calling sabotage, you must work for one of Diamondbacks competitors. I've researched this pistol extensively and it has its problems but has no record of exploding.

There had to be some barrel obstruction for that kind of destruction to occur. Absent some obstruction your firearm violates the laws of physics.

  • @Sounds4theInfowar Lol. I dont work for any gun companies, I'm just a gun enthusiast that had my gun blow up in my hand. As for your "research", try scrolling down on youtube, there's a guy who had his DB9 blow up twice. I had 3 friends with me when it blew up, they saw it happen. I loved that little pistol, Im just glad it blew up while practicing and not in a real life saving situation. As for being a saboteur, you're a chump if you think that. Why would i throw away $400?

  • @Sounds4theInfowar Really?....wow i take it you saved up a bunch of allowances and bought one and are scared it might not be "so great?". These little guns serve one purpose.Plinking. as for the failure.they were doing the exact opposite as what you claim.I stumbled upon this video, thought wow, someone who openly admit they made a mistake and their ammo caused the failure. And then there's YOUR comment.sigh... I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul....

  • @mrslyfox12 +P ammo won't do what happened here alone. Lots of people ignore the instructions and fire +p through these guns and this does not happen.

Simple physics would dictate that the energy would leave the end of the barrel. Energy does not take the path of most resistance. +P simply accelerates the wear on these guns, it does not explode them.

I think there was a barrel obstruction of some sort, this can happen knowingly or unknowingly.

  • @Sounds4theInfowar Diamondback's site says Quote: "Diamondback Firearms does not recommend using any 9mm Bullets above 124 gr or any Ammunition that is rated NATO, +P, +P+ or anything else that is higher than SAAMI Standard pressure 9mm."

So, I don't doubt that this happened. Should have bought a PF9 if you wanted to use +P

  • I'm starting to think the same. Corporate espionage happens more than people are aware. I find it interesting that nutnfaggy supports kel tec and takes their money and trashes db. DB is right down the road from kel tec in doo-doo-city florida

  • I know nothing about guns but this looks really cheap

  • And this is why I will never put +P ammo through any of my guns. Regardless of if the manual says it's okay to.

  • Are you fellas sure you didn't have a barrel obstruction (previous bullet lodged in the barrel) that cause this?

  • Thank God there were no permanent injuries, and I especially like the way you handled the failure with the truth and didn't seem to try bash the manufacturer. As for the rude comment concerning life's lessons...May life deal him and those like him a double dose of their own "lack of compassion", cause when when comes to mistakes or accidents, it's only a matter of time till they get theirs. Stay safe.

  • You fool! Haha you almost lost your hand, consider it a lesson in life jack ass

  • Walmart

  • JUNK

  • Wow! Proof that you have to be very careful loading these lightly constructed 9mm pistols with ammunition they were not designed for... but at least the shooter still has all his digits i.e. it could have been an even more catestrophic failure.

  • I bought a DB9 some weeks back. Had trouble. long story short, the lands/grooves are too far back toward the rear of the barrell not allowing enough room in the chamber. Remove the magazine and still had lots of trouble ejecting a round from the chamber. I sent it in to mfg. still no word. No replies to e-mails, can't get through by phone as it always gives a busy circuit. I'm afraid I messed up buying this thing. Hope it's not money gone down the drain. Anyone else having warranty work issues?

  • A fool and his fingers are soon parted. You can tell a fool by the cigarette dangling from his or her lips. Do you like your lungs, Dumbo?

  • You still like it? Hahaha

  • Based on the pic, I agree on barrel obstructions, most likely a failed round, followed by a good round.

  • Thumbs up if you clicked on this to see an Aston Martin crash....

  • It looks like a Glock but it doesn't run like a Glock.

  • I would stay away from the company that made that ammo-- seems their machinery failed or something to make a double charge. Handloading(I do load) it would be very hard , not impossible--to double charge for someone that is carefull. 5gr of bullseye almost half fills the case, so you almost cant miss it when you place the bullet on the case to seat.

Diamondback does not recommend any +p or above ammo.

This kinda looks like a barrel flaw or obstruction.

Glad it did not seriously injure you

  • @wildmanjeff42 which is why they said they accidentally used +p ammo and guess what +p is high pressure ammo, the extra pressure was not a mistake on the part of the ammo manufacturer, it was on purpose lol.

  • Dude that looks like a double charge!!!!

  • Look for the other DB9 "exploded" video....that used 115gr factory regular loads (not +p or +p+!) I am now totally sold on the Kel-Tec PF-9 where +p loads can be used so long as not a "steady diet".

  • nice...I have a DB9....it says no +P,reg 9MM is plenty firepower for a small CCW like the DB9 but I admit the issue with a DB9 is the rails are too short and the slide has too much movement and lacks accuracy from long distances ...

  • I've shot plenty of +p rounds through plenty of 9mm's and never had this problem. And do any of you know a 357 in the size of DB9?If so hit me up. Otherwise it was a fluke round, watch the DBFirearms DB9 video where they obviously shoot +p ammo through it.

  • @beerslayer420 fluke round my ass. Its a rule of thumb not to load pistols such as the DB9 and LC9 with +p rounds ya jackass

  • Why would anybody even buy Plus P 9mm rounds? Reality Check- If you want hotter ballistics than a 9mmP, buy a .357. Years ago people used to blow up various .38 cal revolvers when they found out some old .38s would chamber .357 rounds.

  • @Goatman629 The question is why would you buy a new gun if the one you already have will handle the hotter new rounds? The problem is in our idiot proof society people think if the round chambers it must be safe to fire.

  • played with junk and got what you diserved

  • @main095099 wtf

  • That's terrible, will DB replace it even though you used +P?

  • @Vultite Dunno about the user manual, but DB's website presently does specifically state NOT to shoot +P or +P+ ammo, or anything over 124 grains, and doing so will void the warranty. However, they supposedly have very good customer service and I'm sure they want to make a good impression on folks with their relatively new company and this new pistol, so they may still replace it this time - probably not in the future, though. Shooting +P ammo in any micro 9mm is a kinda bad idea, anyway.
