Hey man the best thing to do when you run out of weed is to do an iso wash with 91% Isopropyl alcohol on all your pieces using the same Isopropyl alcohol so all the resin is collected in the same alcohol and then it will dry to form QWISO hash oil-this you will take out a lot of the tar and get mainly thc-not a lot will come from this but if you have a couple dirty pipes this could give you enough hash to get you ripped and plus you cleaned your pieces at the same time! ill vids btw

@XXloverageXX I don't clean my pipe. The resin is the black tar that sticks to the sides of the bowl after you smoke. After a while, you scrape that black resin off and smoke it! Gets you really high because it's pure THC.

I'm bored of telling people that this stuff is tar. No other way around it.. I was even told once it was "liquid THC" and I simply asked why it was jet black and smelt like arse instead of being golden brown and smelling like pot.

This stuff is the residue left from burning plant matter.. resin is NOT the right name for it although is often called it. Resin comes right from the plant. This is just tar after smoking a lot with the same pipe etc.

This is what I was thinking.. the term "scrape" should say that it's not normally liquid. I have cleaned two of my pipes and had over a gram of black sticky tar come out of each, the bowl tar is always hard though due to the heat... that's what needs scraping. The neck always seems to have thick liquid stuff in it.

Resin comes directly from the bud when it's still growing. If you touch it, it's sticky with resin. If you pick up weed straight from the harvest it's sticky until dried. This stuff.. although called resin by many smokers.. isnt resin at all. It's residue from combusted plant material. It does contain THC and unburnt plant material (though not sure about other cannabinoids) but is also horrid for your health and can give headaches and illness. Not worth the effort.
